You guys want to sign some old dudes to five year contracts.
Only one.
It's a risk, but no more risky than giving a younger player without a track record huge cash.
Kluber would be 38 at the end of a 5 year deal, but he doesn't have the millage on his arm many 32 year old aces do.
If there was a young Greg Maddux around, he'd be my choice, but I don't see one.
Part of the problem is teams want these guys throwing in the upper 90s all game long now, that is going to wreck some of those 25 year old arms before they reach 30.
