Last night was opening night for round 2 in the Q.

Sea Dogs beat the Victoriaville Tigres 4-1. Jonathan Huberdeau led the way with a goal and 2 assists.

In a surprisingly close game the Montreal Junior beat the Lewiston Maineiacs 6-5. Isles' Kabanov had an assist but was a -2 for Lewiston. Habs' Louis Leblanc had a goal and an assist for Montreal.

Patrick Roy's Quebec Remparts beat the Shawinigan Cataractes 8-1.

And in the series most are predicting will be the closest, Sean Couturier and the Drummondville Voltigeurs beat the Gatineau Olympiques 3-1.

Here are some highlights from the Sea Dogs/Tigres game. The first period highlights are a bit choppy for some reason but it gets better after that. Goal of the night comes from Caps' prospect Stanislav Galiev on a nice pass from Huberdeau at about 2:15.

Its long overdue that I ask this but how do you embed youtube videos on here? I tried copying and pasting the embed code but that never seems to work.

Step 1: Grab the youtube link (This is Bugs Bunny in Scotland with an additional asterisk)

http://*www.youtube.com/watch?v=quT767Kkv9c

Step 2: Put the part after the = sign (in this case quT767Kkv9c) between youtube tags (the words youtube and /youtube enclosed in square brackets)

Step 3: You're done

Hit the youtube button and paste everything after the equals sign in the link of the video you want to embed. So for the video you wanted to post you'd copy the bold part.

Thanks guys! I couldn't rep you Dash because I need to spread some around 1st.

Lets test this out with highlights from last night's game between the Quebec Remparts and Shawinigan Cataractes. The french commentator is pretty entertaining.

Well, after two games, the Tigers have outscored the Rebels 14-1. On the one hand, it's quite stunning, but the Tigers did win five out of 6 games during the regular season with Red Deer.

Keep it going, boys!

Not looking good for Michigan's junior teams... Windsor and Owen Sound are some tough opponents.

Well the Sea Dogs lost their first playoff game last night, losing 3-2 to Victoriaville. :( It was also their first regulation loss at home all season long. They hit the road now for the next 3.

Similar to the Blades julian, I think they only lost one game at home in regulation during the regular season, and now they've dropped the first two at home in this series to Kootenay.

Both the Tigers and Tigres are doing well so far...

The Chiefs are facing about as close to a must win as there can be without it actually being an elimination game. Can't fall down 2-0 to Tri-City with the next 3 down there. Get it done Chiefs!

Wow! I didn't realize the Blades were down 2-0. That's crazy! I wouldn't mind seeing them get knocked out. Could make things a little easier for my Sea Dogs should they happen to get to the Memorial Cup.

The Tigres have definitely been doing well. I was a bit nervous about this series before it started and even moreso now. Mainly because they swept a pretty decent Bathurst team. Their strength has been their 17 year old Czech goalie David Honzig who only seemed to start making a name for himself in the 2nd half of the season. I think they could be the Sea Dogs toughest test, especially since 1 of the top dogs is out for about a week with a concussion.

The Chiefs get it done beating the Ams and knotting the series in a game they really had to win. Now the hard part, the next three games are in Tri-City. Ideally the Chiefs would win 2 games down there, but even just winning one will get the series back to Spokane. We'll see how it goes. I know they'll be ready. Get it done Chiefs!

Portland gets a come from behind win as well and knots their series with Kelowna.

Bad news for the Sea Dogs. Simon Despres questionnable for tonight's game after being helped off the ice Saturday with a lower body injury. They are already missing the franchises all-time leading scorer, 20 year old Michael Kirkpatrick. Coming into this series those 2 were the only players to play in every playoff game in the franchise's 6 year history (they missed the playoffs the 1st 2 years as an expansion team ;) ). For the 1st time all season long, I'm actually a bit worried. These Tigres scare me, especially if we are missing 2 or our top players.

Pivotal game 3 in the Chiefs/Ams series tonight. Tri-City's top defenseman is suspended for this game and their 2nd best defenseman was hurt early in game 2 and did not return and he very well may not play tonight. The Chiefs gotta win at least 1 game in Kennewick. Seems like a great opportunity to get it done.

Sea Dogs with a big 6-3 win to regain the momentum from the Tigres. Top line of Huberdeau (2G), Zack Phillips (1G, 1A), and Stanislav Galiev (3A) lead the way offensively. While Jacob DeSerres made some huge saves when the game was still close.

Elsewhere Lewiston wins to take a surprising 2-1 series lead over Montreal.

Gatineau and Shawinigan each win at home to cut their series' deficits to 2-1 against Drummondville and Quebec respectively.
