:wtf:

Your argument is that if your coach hadn't lost a game, the other coach wouldn't have made it to the NCG?

And you don't see how people can argue over it?

did you see hwo Oregon lost that game? Easily EASILY should have won it. two late questionable officiating calls.

Again, Oregon wins and Alabama is nowhere near that title.

Plus, Alabama lost to a poor mans chip Kelly's offense team in Texas AM.

I am literally mind boggled at the disrespect Chip Kelly is getting in here.

if Oregon beats Stanford the Ducks are playing Notre Dame in the national title.

Unfortuntely this is about to get off topic to a very good question thread. But, someone who is against this, PLEASE show me and give facts on a coach that is the second best coach in college football.

Urban Meyer
- Bowling Green 2001 8-3, 2002 9-3 (17-6 overall)
- Utah 2003 10-2, 2004 12-0 (22-2 overall)
- Florida 2005 9-3, 2006 13-1, 2007 9-4, 2008 13-1, 2009 13-1, 2010 8-5 (65-15 overall)
- Ohio State 2012 12-0

He's won two SEC championships ('06 and '08), two BCS National championships ('06 and '08), sports a 7-1 bowl game record, and has coached a Heisman trophy winner.

Clearly better than Chip Kelly.

I don't want Urban Meyer leading my program. Who knows how many arrests i'll encounter and the bad PR that comes with him.

Les Miles

- Oklahoma State 2001 4-7, 2002 8-5, 2003 9-4, 2004 7-5 (28-21 overall)
- LSU 2005 11-2, 2006 11-2, 2007 12-2, 2008 8-5, 2009 9-4, 2010 11-2, 2011 13-1, 2012 10-3 (85-21 overall)

He's won one SEC championship ('07), one BCS National championship ('07), played and lost in another ('11) and sports a 5-5 bowl record (2-1 in BCS games).

Clearly on par with, if not better than Chip Kelly.

You said you wanted factual information on a coach that should be second behind Saban, not who you want to lead your program.

If you don't consider Meyer to be on par with Saban (or at the very least better than Kelly), I don't know what to tell you.

I'll take Saban. He maybe older, but still in great health and still has the drive to coach. Kelly maybe second, but its not a close second.

I'm a Bama homer, but still have to stick with the guy who racked up three crystal footballs. The guy eats, breaths and dreams football - he's a machine.

Chip Kelly wishes he was cool enough to wear Nick Saban pajamas.

Chip Kelly:
-0 National championships

Nick Saban
- 3 national championships

Thoughts?

Thoughts... do better research. Saban has 4 National Championships. 2003, 2009, 2011, 2012.

And shame on everyone that it took a poster this long to point that out. (esp you Bama fans!)

Age would be the only reason I'd take Kelly over Saban if I was starting a program. Even then I still might take Saban.

And Chip Kelly has an appearance too vs Auburn. Let's be fair my friend. Research is a 2 way Street. Whoop, wait that is not true. Barnharts ass is a two way Street. There we go.

Only Oregon homers would actually think Kelly is a better coach.

That Auburn team was one of the weakest SEC teams to ever win the ship when you actually break it down to overall talent. They did have two bad ass players though on both sides of the ball, one of them being a real freak in Cam Newton.

The talent is always great. Auburn simply outbid the rest for Cam. Seriously though, few individuals have been as impactful to an entire team as that guy was. Joking aside the guy was a force.

Yea it sucked playing him. All he had to do was step 1 yard into the hole and be tackled because every time he always fell forward for another 2 yards. So even when you stop him he gets 3 yards and that's not adding up all his big plays. Bama did a great job of stopping him in 2010, but in the second half he beat them with his arm. That's why I always turn it off at half time when I rewatch that game. :)
