You could very well be right. While he had some success in Philly, this 49'ers team is years away from being a winning team. Losing not only gets old, but he will be fired when the new GM comes in after this season or ayear down the road.Chip hates recruiting. However, given how the 49ers season is going, I think he's starting to realize that he's going to be a college coach sooner or later. I think an Oregon/Chip reunion is more likely than some on this board think. It's not a slam dunk but I'm hearing there's more smoke than Chip is letting on.
I think he would rather be remembered for what he did and not risk coming back and being unable to recreate it and have everyone wonder what happened.I just still can't see Chip bailing for college unless he's fired. He wants to be successful in the NFL, his ego won't let him leave for a more comfortable situation at oregon (or any other college).
That's just my take of course. Maybe he's really not happy and reevaluated some things.
Sources were his mom bringing him a sandwich with the crust cut off in his basement "apartment"It's after 9:30. When is this presser going to start?I mean that random insider board making this claim surely has enough connections to give us a ball park about when it's going to start right?
My sources tell me it's going to be Willie Taggart. And I' all for it. I was hoping for Frost or Holgorsen, but they weren't interested.
I think Taggart will bring a true, tough culture and bring some accountability.
Like Hoke????Yeah, I can live with Taggart. I would prefer Chip or Fleck, but Taggart has done well...he just needs a good DC.
Yeah, he probably doesn't have anything else lined up, might as well keep him around.Like Hoke????
