You should write a book titled "How to Incorrectly Apply Statistics". True - the Steelers have the 2nd best defense in the NFL pt wise. However - 3 of their 4 games were against the Browns, Bears & Ravens - 3 of the worst offensive units in the NFL. Let's see how they do against better competition.

True, the Redskins are 8th in rushing, but 1 game was against a team that is 28th against the run, and another game against a team that is 24th against the run. Let's see how the running game works against those with better run defense.

Already did. But to say that the o-line and running game is in a good spot right now is wrong in my opinion. Still work that needs to be done with it.

Kelley being hurt is killing us. Perine is giving us nothing.

It's not serious at all I just don't enjoy reading your passive aggressive thoughts on everything that is said here. Again go to the steeler board. You talk like you're an NFL insider but change every take to fit your narrative. It was old after your 3rd post here and yet here you are still. I've asked you this question before and have yet to get an answer.
Why do you care enough about Washington to post on every topic here?

You're not serious? Calling someone names because they have a differing opinion seems pretty serious. Again, I can post on any board I want. The mods on this board are fine with me doing so. I don't care about Washington, I like talking football. How you choose to take what I say is your choice. You can choose to swear like a child and call me names like a middle schooler or you can have a civil conversation. But don't be surprised if you choose the former of those two, that my passive aggressive comments come out. Because once I get disrespected by anyone for any reason, my respect for the person I'm speaking with goes away as well. Plain and simple. You respect me and I respect you. You may not like what I have to say and that's completely fine but you can all choose different ways to react to it.

Yeah like I was saying in my original post, injuries killed you guys last night. 7 penalties last night. 4-11 on 3rd down with 3 fumbles.

Good teams can have a bad night and still win the game. We had a bad night and were in a position to win that game.

Despite me being completely pissed with Doctson and his decision to not hold onto the ball, last night shows that we are actually closer to a good team than a bad team. Kirk is closer to a franchise QB than the mediocre label people try and give him. Our defense, if healthy is better than most of us expected.

All in all, while I expect this loss to haunt us, I think this team is closer to a 10 win team than the 3 win squad some people had us painted as.

Yep - certainly more good than bad thus far. Certainly better than the gloom & doom that some of us - myself included - expected a few months ago. You never want to lose & certainly don't want to make some key mistakes that contribute to the loss. However there is no real shame in losing to one of the NFL's best teams in a hostile stadium with players getting injured left and right.

After the bye the real test comes in Oct against teams that they can beat. I will reserve true judgment until after those games. My major concern at this time is injuries.

That response is the definition of passive aggressive. Now that is funny.

Some people? Like whom, may I ask? Our resident (seems to be) Steelers self proclaimed expert? Oh, that's right. He did predict 3 wins for us. :flame:

Cousins plays so much better on primetime then he does at 1 or 4 on Sundays.

Ah. Another statement that is not supported by facts. Up until recently, one major knock on KC has been he bombed during big games. But as many of us suspected, he just needed time and experience. He is becoming more consistent across the board.

QBR, yards per game, TDs per game and accuracy stats are all better during late games than early games. Unfortunately, this has not equaled an excess in wins. In 10 primetime games, he's 3-7. Because his personal stats are such an improvement on average, makes me think something else is costing them the games.

What do you think about the clock management at that time?

The clock management was fine. You score a TD when you can. You don't take a lesser play because of time management when the homerun is available on the first pitch.

I disagree. With 2 timeouts left and only 3rd and 2. No need for the homerun. Like I said before even if he makes the catch the game still isn't over. Gruden said in his PC that he wanted to score coming out of the timeout. Zi don't get that. It was great throw but Docs didn't finish. Wasn't expecting that at all.

Agreed. The play was there and Cuz gave Doctson the opportunity to make it. Unfortunately Doctson didn't finish the play. The offense can't be worried about scoring too soon in that situation.

Neither were the Chiefs. That's why you call it there. Seriously, dude. This isn't rocket science. You take the shot any time you have the advantage. We had the advantage as they had to defend both the 1st down and the end zone. Think, Dean......

Yet another fan who honestly believes that they know more about football then the folks who actually get paid to coach. I have seen many of them. They just don't realize that it is much more difficult then second guessing things from your living room.

NO reason to take the shot at that time. Plus what about the timeout after the CT run from 2nd down. You guys agree with that too? Gruden stops the clock again leaving more time for the Chiefs. We still had time for a TD. Gruden said in his PC he was worrying about the time. That is total bullshit. He just left more time for the Chiefs with their timeouts.

We had the advantage being on the 20 yardline with 2 timeouts left. It was an aggressive call that had a lot of risk involved. The timeout after the CT run was a huge blunder.

Dean, its not an issue of if we had time still after a 1st down to score a TD. Its all about taking the shot when you have them unsure. You keep missing this basic point. My god. We only gave them 55 seconds left. We should have been able to stop them.
