I hope it's a great series. This is a great story line with the long droughts and both of these teams have individual story lines that are fascinating as well. As was mentioned, the Yankee story involving the trades of Miller and Chapman but even more riveting is the Red Sox connection. The 2004 in by the Sox that broke their so-called curse. Theo Epstein trying to do the same for the Cubs and Terry Francona for the Tribe. It is going to be something that goes down in baseball lore for decades to come regardless of which one does it.
I get a laugh out of even more people counting out the Tribe early because of their starting pitching woes. I don't buy it at all. They were supposed to get beat by Boston and Toronto and they simply dominated both. I think you can throw every stat up until now right out the window. It's a completely clean slate. Both teams play great defense and have a great group of young talented players. I think Cleveland's bullpen could be the key. If they have a lead, it's like KC was the last couple years. Complete shut down. The Cubbies aren't gonna be facing a Joe Blanton clone this series. Another low scoring tight game series favors the Indians, imo.
A game 7 would be like icing on the cake. It will be epic to watch for any true baseball fan and if it happens, I will go out on a limb and say that it could garner the largest TV audience for a final game since before the 94 strike. This should indeed, be a true "fall classic". I can't wait.

as a Cardinals fan, I'll probably get raked over the coals for this, but i hope the Cubs win
I have no issue with it. Its good for baseball and I'll want to beat them next year.

I think the Indians would be my pick to win if I wasn't afraid of rust. I think I'm still picking tribe in 7

I'll say the same thing again.

I just don't see anyone who can beat the Cubs in a 7-game series.

Certainly not Cleveland.
You must not understand the randomness of small sampling sizes. That's ok though, as you're mainly a troll, starting threads declaring that Derek Jeter was pedestrian at best, and that Clayton Kershaw's dominance is done.

What's there to discuss, nothing new here. Same old, same old. Shit's all fixed.:pound::trash:

When it's Tampa vs. Colorado I'll get excited. Until then it's rigged.
Like if 2007 and 2008 had been meshed together? Yeah, definitely rigged...

It's laughably easy to get you offended. A 75 yr old man even did it. :L

So calling someone on their BS is now akin to being "offended"? Do I need to look up all the bullshit ratings you've given?

I'll be happy for whichever long-suffering fan base finally wins theirs; but since Chicago has gone longer without a World Series win, i'd be slightly more pleased if they got this.

.

Also think Hammels should be on the roster since CJ wilson will be questionable. If cubs get the split in cleveland, I would throw Hammels game 5 so Jake and Lester get 6 and 7.

Do you eat lead paint chips?
