Get Forte at least 30 touches and I think we win. McCoy only ran the ball 7 times last week in a loss, Chip isn't going to make the mistake of abandoning the run two weeks in a row. coughbillcallahancough
So our D is going to have to find a way to stop the run.

I know the chances are not too likely, but god it would be awesome to clinch this week.

Eagles are actually strong against the run. You exploit them by going after their secondary. They're very susceptible to the big play. Their pass D has been as bad as our run D. They rank 30th as of right now. Matt Cassel and a AP-less Vikings offense just tee'd off on them for 48 points through the air.

I agree that the Bears should balance the run/pass ratio, and keep McCoy/Foles/DJax/Cooper off of the field. However, you attack this team and put up points through the air.

High of 75 (now 69)??
Hahaha... that IS funny.
WTF??

Yeah, record setting. So weird.

At least it will be a fast track and not a frozen ball for our offense.

When I was looking at this stretch run, I was like; "Shit, four straight cold weather games. I wonder how the offense will fair." Now, lol, this game might as well be in Florida.

If Detroit somehow loses to Detroit Sunday. I'd also note that this game COULD also be meaningless to us, as far as the NFC North goes. As long as GB beats PIT, we can't eliminate them.

It would still matter as far as playoff seeding. The winner assures themselves the #3 seed if they win the division, and knocks the other team down to the #4.

How the fuck can Detroit lose to Detroit?

Have you watched the Lions over the past month or so?

They do it almost every week.

fucking idiots

Its a road game and clearly the best QB for this game is Josh "Montana" McCown. Just look at his QB rating on the road and it will clearly show the path to victory. Why would you start any other QB?

:wtf2:

Get on board, or GTFO.

They're not going with McCown. Get over it. It's decided.

Two insightful comments:

Battle of two inconsistent teams. Philly's pass defense is horrible, and we have a great passing game. Our run defense is terrible, and they have McCoy.

I think the Bears D is improving, even though in little "baby steps" But any improvement is worth noting.

Lance Briggs should be back which should help the run-D.

And nebears brings up a good point. Since allowing over 400++ yards to the Rams and Vikes, the D has held the Boys to 328 and the Browns to 366. (And maybe the Browns don't scare anyone at first glance, but after racking up 649 yards and 4 TD in his 3 prior games, the Bears held Josh Gordon to a measly 67 yards and 1 TD - and that TD was a gift at the end of the game.)

Also the Eagles are dead last in time-of-possession. (Bears are 7th.) So if Trestman is as smart as some say, one way to keep the other team from scoring (especially when you have a bad D), is to keep your offense on the field longer.

Matt Cassel. The guy is a bum and he lit the Eagles up.

Cutler gets it done

With the Offensive weapons the Bears have this year my grandmother could "get it done"... in other words it's not because of Cutler that the Bears are scoring points in bunches.

Nothing sadder to see than a troll rehashing old material.

ROFL at this Cutler jock-licker... ^^^^

Big Game (lol): 63.9% / 16-TD / 10-INT / 89.8 Rating
Josh McCown: 66.8% / 13-TD / 1-INT / 109.8 Rating

"Montana" McCown in a landslide...

Neeeeext... !!

True sign of a troll. Uses statistics when it benefits his argument. Doesn't investigate deeper into anything.

When it doesn't benefit him, he dismisses statistics.

Josh McCown. 1-2 in his final three games as a starter versus teams with a 15-24-1 record. BIG GAME JOSH! Led an offense that put up 27, 23, 21, 20 versus four mediocre teams. 3 of 4 of them having bottom of the barrel defenses. Then had his one big game against a Dallas D on pace to set 6 NFL records, including yardage and first downs allowed. Got lit up by Matt Flynn on Sunday. BIG GAME JOSH FOLKS!

Hmm... DK... why'd you disappear from the ESPN board again? Let's hear some of those grand claims you made on that board, before you were humiliated and left.
