That has nothing to do with the discussion but it's good you practiced how to count. Keep at it.
Of course it doesn't.
For Philly fans it would be a very short discussion.

You know I'm almost getting tired of slapping you around. Almost:eek:

Here is where you cherry pick your memories. The cap is Math. Any moron with a calculator can get any team under the cap by restructuring and not resigning key players and not adding players they may otherwise want to via FA. But that isn't helping your team. That works in the short run to get under the cap, but causes you to not be able to keep your own contributing players in the future. Restructuring is a problem if you do it with too many guys. You need to look down the road a couple of years to see it's impact.

A lot of Cowboy fans saw this a few years back as we restructured guys every year and saw how it was hurting this team for years as they were hamstrung with bad restructures and bad FA contracts. Others didn't realize it and said 'we got under the cap' and thought Stephen Jones was a good cap guy because he had a calculator. Then you end up with a shit load of dead money after guys leave and you realize what you pay a guy like Romo after he leaves is more than a guy like ET makes and you see how bad restructuring is. You look at a guy like T Smith and his huge amount of dead money and bad back and key position that needs to be replaced if he can't play and see how it could have crippled your team because of how he was restructured. If you were a SB team I'd say go for it. Since you aren't you better hope you start thinking about the future cap years or your damn right you'll be fucked when Wentz wants $30M per year. That's not changing the narrative because it is one in the same. Pay the piper now or later...
The Cowboys did it wrong. That's why they couldn't do what the Eagles have done.

Your experience of the Cowboys cap problems were because they fucked it up. The Eagles don't do that, haven't done that, and in fact have maximized the talent they've put on the field (I don't need to remind you of the Super Bowl win where recent FA addition Alshon Jeffery played a large role).

So after the Eagles were said to have "no cap space" two years ago, they added a very expensive back up QB, they signed a #1 WR, they added a veteran DE, they signed their own expensive DE, they signed a starting LB, they signed a top RG, they signed an expensive safety. They did that after having "no more cap space." Do you need that in list format to better comprehend it?

So even though you thought they had "no more cap space," they actually always have cap space and can always add to what they have because unlike the Cowboys who got themselves into a huge cap mess, the Eagles plan ahead and actually manage it.

I think you need to educate yourself. You won a SB and made the playoffs the next year because of Foles who is gone because of your cap problem. You let Jernigan go because of your cap problem. You traded Bennett because of your cap problem. You won't likely have all 3 of jeffery, Agholar and Tate because of your cap problem. You are kicking the can down the road and hurting future years caps because of your cap problem. No one ever said you won't get under the cap. We told you what you were going to have to do to get there and that is exactly what is happening. Your team is already much worse than last year because of your cap problem. You better hope you draft well or you will have a huge problem. The money you used last year on guys like Bennett and Ngata and the such could have rolled into this year to keep your team together. Now you are looking to fill holes and resign who you can and your draft picks with that money you freed up and this will come back to bite you in future years.
The only thing you came close to mentioning that even remotely "hurts the future" is Golden Tate and not even for the reason you mention. You tried to fit it in with your other lies, but you could actually make a small case that the 3rd rounder for Tate was ill-advised.

But instead you buried it in with the rest of your complete Bullshit like Timmy Jernigan is anything other than an injured shadow of his former self that can't even play a full season anymore before his latest injury. The details and the actual facts don't help your case so you ignore them.

I'm sorry I gave you such a reasoned reply to your other bullshit. Oh well.

Squirming in this thread is reserved for Howie and moronic Philly fans.
Dope, this thread is about the Eagles getting more cap space.
Something you were too stupid to figure out yourself.
So I had to explain it to you.

Getting rid of a backup DE is desperation?

Can you hear yourself?
Kicking the can down the road is.

They are doing their best to hang on to what the had the past couple of years. The problem is they are letting the most important piece walk.

You can play blind man all you want.

Where does the can land? Your post will still be here in two years, three years, four years, ten years, to prove how wrong you were so make a guess...

You try to act like this is the first time the Eagles have done this.:spit:

Already started son. Top 5 dead money this year.

Went from SB champs to barely eking out a wildcard. Walking from their SB MVP QB.

You’re blind

No team can pay their backup QB 25 million.

We were 15 yards away from the final 4 too. All this over a backup DE and a DT who barely played. Eagles are fucked!

Dude, give it up. We are fucked forever and there’s 15 threads to prove it. @jarntt is wrong about our cap because we don’t give mediocre players mega contracts and then cut them. Huge difference between what us and the Cowboys do/did. But give it up. Obviously we are wrong cause there’s 15 threads up now about how we are fucked. Maybe we should cut everyone and reset the cap at zero and forfeit the season.
