I hear the playoff rankings are out. I haven't seen them, I know it's obvious and all, but just thought I should ask to be sure. Utah fell out, right?

i really want penn state to get in but if the 3 teams in the top 4 win their conference championships, i cant see them in. even if one lose, Michigan should be in before them but i want them to make the controversial choice of PSU in that situation. i know the shit would hit the fan then and a 8 team playoff would be much more likely.

You've been speaking so definitively about how weak these Pac-12 teams are, but I highly doubt you've watched enough Pac-12 games (if any at all) to truly assess these teams. You, like most of the hired experts on ESPN (who are essentially just hired former athletes who used to play in the SEC, Big 10, etc), look at names such as Utah, Colorado, Washington, WSU, etc and just cannot fathom those teams being better than the more prestigious name brands in CFB.

Because as we all know...name brand wins games on the field.

The current standard away uniforms for the Cornhuskers & Badgers are different enough (Nebraska uses red pants and Wisconsin uses white pants), so I'm cool with that.

However, I don't like that the home uniforms are so similar for two teams in the same division. IMO, Wisconsin should use two helmets permanently: the current white helmet for all road games, but a red helmet for all home games... so that they look different than Nebraska's home uniforms.

The Badgers have used a red helmet once in a while in the past... Barry Alvarez should make the red helmet permanent for home games... again, to differentiate themselves from the Nebraska home uniform look:

That said, they won't pick Michigan over the Big Ten Champion and that is correct on their part. There has to be a precedent.

So if Penn St wins the B1G championship game, can anyone honestly say they think they are better than Michigan? I mean, they have identical records, and Michigan beat them by 39 points head to head.

Even Wisconsin would have a tough time claiming superiority over Michigan at this point. Unless they were to simply annihilate Penn St. Even then, Michigan has the head to head advantage, and probably a slight edge in quality wins if Colorado can win the Pac 12.

scUM is rooting for UW to lose and Penn St to win. Then they are in without a shadow of a doubt. There is still a good chance they get in if Wisconsin wins, but that will be a tough decision bc that Wisconsin-scUM game was very close and Wisconsin has a very very good resume too.
