Unless you're called MSU or ISU :suds:
But the land we just won would belong to Notre Dame, not us. So why would we care if Notre Dame gets more land.

I really don't understand why the concept of this map is so confusing? Or why people want to make that even worse.

If football were invading armies you just think of it as when you have no land you are roaming armies until you win a war with someone that has land. Then that land is yours. Even if you have lost every war up to the end of the season. You can always finish with land as long as you beat someone else that has some. It really isn't that complicated is it?

Well for starters, teams need to start with the right territory, and they didn't.

Secondly, the methodology here gives more value to early season wins, since you only win territory by beating an undefeated team.

How would you start the season with the right territory, in your opinion? The most fair way to do it would be the closest FBS school. Like who should get northern Michigan, Alaska, Maine, Vermont, Montana, etc?

:wtf:

THIS map does no such thing.

You don't have to be undefeated to own land. See Iowa State this week.

If you are talking about the proposals for whatever dumb changes people were talking about then by all means carry on, but they are stupid.

This is a fun exercise just comparing college football to imperial land grab wars of the ancient world.

Why take it all that seriously or propose other weirdness in some sense that winning should carry more weight? It's just a for fun thing for God's sake.

Georgia would get any land coming to Notre Dame in this scenario, right?

Hand that shit over, bech.

Only real beef I have is that undefeated Miami still has no land in south Florida for some reason.

They didn't even get their own county? That does seem weird.

Correct. The only good part of that version is the national champs would own almost everything.

Unless it's just too small for my declining eyesight to see, they don't. I think they were forgotten about after the hurricane fucked up their schedule and UCF got credit for beating whatever mid major it is right down the road from them.

I think the P5 only map should be the one that is "official", but I know some G5 fans might not agree with that.

Also, if a team loses to a G5 or FCS team, they should just give up those land points to the closest stadium owned. Closest stadium owned = whoever won that area.

So let's say Iowa St lost to a G5/FCS team. They would lose their land, but like the land they own in Oklahoma would go to TCU. The land in Indiana would go to Clemson, the land in Ohio likely goes to Penn St, but LSU, Clemson and Michigan St are close.

Just how I'd have done it. On the other hand, have to give props to UCF for "busting" the P5 map up.
