Okay... I’m not gonna go back and read every post of everyone listing available times and take notes to figure this out. The last post that got my attention suggested 8/18 in the evening, which is about a week before the season starts and typically when we’ve done it. So that sounds good to me. Just give a yea or nay vote and if the majority are on board we’ll go with it. If it sticks, I’ll set the keeper deadline for the Wednesday before.

I said I couldn't do it on the 17th...most likely could on 16th...how did we go back to a later date, the 18th? LOL

I can't do from the August 17th-25th. Will be on vacation and pretty much no wi-fi out of the country.

Sundays, or weekends, seem to typically work best. It’s a busy time of the year for most, factoring in that, and that we are doing this over message board with no face to face interaction, and that we are all spread out over four time zones, finding the perfect day that works for everyone isn’t all that reasonable. Beyond that, if we do nail down what seems like the perfect day, stuff comes up, or people just straight up forget, and we won’t have a full room anyway.

Like I said, rather than get out my legal pad and charting out everyone’s does/doesn’t work posts, just throwing out a day that’s worked in the past and seeing if it gets a strong majority.

I’ve got you down for no.

The 16th doesn't work for me ( ironically enough because of work) and I assume that no one wants to do it at 5 eastern or 6.

I could get sometime on the Saturday the 17th but I think it will be later on (like 3/6-7/10) but I'm also in a dead zone.

Heh we're a good two weeks from reaching cluster fuck status. When 3 people show up on the 18th and we are redrafting on Wednesday because games start the next day, then it becomes a clusterfuck.

To add to the eventual clusterfuck, please note this screenshot and what it means... we did this last year because the year before everyone not present for the draft ended up with like 8 quarterbacks or 5 defenses because of what the system had ranked highest by default.

Yes, if you can’t be in the draft you should make sure you spend time ranking players, but even if you do a pretty thorough job of it, when your guys aren’t available the system has no interest in balancing your roster once the minimum active requirement for each position is met, so it’s just gonna take the guys (quarterbacks) at the top of its list.

I say this will add to the clusterfuck because it was pretty repeatedly mentioned and discussed last year, but there was still surprises and complaints in the draft room. I’ll remove the restrictions once the draft is over.

I know there’s situations where you might want to have more than 4 quarterbacks on your roster after the draft, but it is what it is. Not intended to restrict anyone. Just seems to be the only way to keep people from being totally fucked if they can’t make the draft.
