Nope. It is a lot easy to like Kobe on a crappy team. And it is easier for Kobe to be a nice guy when the game really isn't competitive.

Most likely. The Lakers had a good team in Kareem's final year and he got the same kind of receptions that Kobe is getting.

I will say though, based on Kobe's personality and what he said he wanted, the Celtics fans absolutely nailed it. They cheered him in introductions, boo'd him throughout the game and then cheered and chanted his name as he left the court afterward.

That's gotta feel good for Kobe. This year is most chill I have seen him in his career. I loved his competitiveness but it's gotta feel good for him to enjoy a season and just appreciate everything.

Yeah, it's nice to see this side of him as well. Also nice to see the respect and admiration from all the players. So many of them grew up watching him.
