The thing about the charges seems like it may be a scandal itself. I thought he was going to get charged with crimes ranging from tampering with evidence to obstruction of justice and/or maybe some sort of conspiracy. I wouldn't think that a tampering charge and possible conviction would warrant cutting him. The fact they released him makes me think someone in the DA's office leaked the real charges to the Pats.

Bianca Rojas-Latraverse pleaded guilty to three of the five charges - kidnapping, breaking and entering, and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
She has spent 1 1/2 years behind bars and will have a maximum of two years left followed by three years' probation. She was sentenced by Judge Anne-Marie Jacques.
Duhamel won $9 million at the 2010 World Series of Poker. He was attacked Dec. 21, 2011, at his condominium outside Montreal. Men barged through his door and beat him before stealing a gold watch, his poker championship bracelet and $115,000 in different currencies.
