Heard about this a couple of weeks ago but I tried to block it from my mind. I refuse to accept that it will happen.

One of the pregame shows mentioned this too, either CBS or NFL Network... can't remember which one. They said that Kolb is due 7 million on that same date, and that if the Colts cut Manning to avoid paying him the 28 million, Kolb will also get cut and the Cardinals would go after Manning with all they got.

Which teams won't pursue Payton if he is released... I file that report under the duh file. Ill even add to it. If Payton is released the Seahawks, Redskins, Jets, Bills, Dolphins, Broncos, Bucs, Niners (possibly), Jags, an possibly a few others will at least look into going after Payton.

He'll then go promptly into coaching, probably for the Colts, or be a talking head for some network... which ever pays better.
