I am not shocked.

I actually am. He did the most with less.

He was about to be fired from the caps before they turned it on in his third season with the club.

He might be a coach who takes a while to get his team to preform. Some coaches are like that I guess…

I just really liked him as our coach. Finally someone that was able to bring that dog out of Ovi and most importantly get along with him.

That morning skate he did loosened the team up. I just felt he had a feel for his players and was pissed when they lowballed him. Reirden was a complete disaster.

I hope he lands on his feet.

He was going to be going into the last year of his contract. Barry got them started well but Lamo.riello wasn't going to sign him to an extension

We also need back to back good games from the goaltender. Both can struggle so fingers crossed.

I cant see how a Caps fan would not want Trotz to land on his feet.

I still watch “the save” and the last few minutes of the cup winning game on youtube from time to time.

That and Delman Young’s RBI double - a game I was at with good friends who are yankee and red sox fans who could not believe how fucking loud it was at Camden Yards.

Here’s hoping for two good games back to back from sammy and the d-men, and a 3-1 lead.

I'm at the point now where I'm fully expecting goalie by committee throughout the playoffs. A solid performance tonight by Samsonov would be nice. Just gotta find a hot hand.

I swear OT playoff hockey shaves years off your life. Came up short on too many break aways. Make no mistake. The Caps got dominated tonight.

Caps played well enough to win, and probably should have. If that empty better goes in, it’s 3-1 Caps in the series.

The panthers have no answer for the stifling clogging up the middle that the caps are playing, though their skill players are lethal.

Sammys first goal was misplayed by Sammy, but he played well enough to get another start.

Cant miss that many breakaways and give that many takeaways next game.

Stayed in the box tonight. That led them to pretty much doubling our shot output. Had our chances for sure.

Samsonov was standing on his fkn head in the 1st. I'm not sure I can watch the 3rd. Probably just check my phone. I hate and love playoff hockey.
