If you haven't treated yourself to a peak at Capgeek...you really need too.
The most amusing thing is seeing that the Bruins have $277k space. Thank you Tim Thomas you crazy bastard. That $5 million over 35 no movement contract when you are "taking a year off" hehehehe. Gotta love it. Yes, they can get cap relief when the season starts (under the existing CBA) but they still cannot exceed the cap by more than 10% in the offseason - AND - Thomas' contract counts against the 50.
If the Flyers could get someone (with a ton of cap space and or need to get to the cap floor) to take Walker and Shelley they would have more breathing space to make some signings. Something tells me no one is going to be too helpful.
