The Canucks gave the Kings the stiffest opposition in these playoffs so far - In a weird way, AV can thank LA for this extension. He is a good coach though and it's tough to overlook back-to-back President Trophies. Also, is there anybody out there currently who could do a better job?

That's showing a ton of confidence in the GM - I guess it's time for Gillis to roll up the sleeves and get to work.

as mentioned maybe he has out of both jobs (GM to President only) after 2 to 3 and he names his replacement, very plausible. he's done a lot of good things for the CAnucks. Im not surprised by this reward.
