I am a Pats fan and I would be surprised..pleasantly if they went on to win the SB. I just dont see it though. Too many main starters are injured and out for the season.

Once playoffs start they may win a game but I cannot see them getting to the SB.

It's clearly premature but they're exactly where they need to be. Win out against a couple bad teams and you get home field. They're clearly missing pieces but they've done enough to control their own destiny for home field from here on out despite that, and have found ways to beat good teams. Ignoring injuries they are exactly where I would have wanted them at this point.

Gambling on 2nd half comebacks is not gonna happen in the playoffs to the degree that the Pats have got lucky on the last few weeks.

Plus if the Pats should wn the SB HammerDown may just shut down SportsHoopla

I'm not so sure about that. The Pats without Gronk are beatable in NE. I don't know if anyone's gonna beat Seattle at the clink. Hope I'm wrong.

I doubt New England runs through Baltimore and Miami unscathed, so this thread is a bit premature.


After struggling mightily versus horrible teams in Houston and Cleveland, it is not exactly the Patriots marching with a dominant closing kick to the season.


And frankly if Baltimore gets the #6 seed, there might be a blessing to avoid them and play a much easier injured Indy/fading KC.
