The Sharks held a players-only meeting Sunday following a 4-2 loss to the Ottawa Senatorson Saturday. It was San Jose’s third loss in a row and eighth straight at home (0-6-2). "Through tumultuous times you're looking for that," Sharks coach Todd McLellan said, according to the San Jose Mercury News. "It goes back to the leadership. We're looking for that. Who's pulling the group together?" The Sharks trail the Minnesota Wild by five points for the second wild-card spot for the Stanley Cup Playoffs in the Western Conference, with the Wild having a game in hand. Niemi is 2-6-1 in his past nine starts and has allowed three or more goals in six of those games.
