3.5 back with on September 1st....I'll take it.

If we can win tmr, win 2 of 3 at least against the White Sox and go 5-3 in our two 4 game series against the O's and Sox we would be in fantastic shape....That would put us at 80-67 so basically just needing to go 10-5 in our final 15 to get to 90 wins.

So now we need to go 11-4 in our final 15 games to reach 90 as I never thought we would lose 3 of 4 at home against Boston. In our next 3 series we really should attempt to win 2 of 3 in Boston, at least 2 of 3 in Toronto, and sweep the home series with the Giants....That would put us at 86-70 heading into the final week of the season.

My Red Sox have a playoff spot all but locked up.

They would have to be in much worse shape than they actually for me to root for the Sinstripes.

3 down with 12 to go. We have a chance but a slim chance. We honestly have to go 9-3 or 10-2 in the final 12 games to have a chance at making it.

The only 2 things we have going for us is that Texas and Tampa play each other this week (both have the same record) and we get a crack at Tampa in the Bronx next week. In addition to this KC/CLE face off tmr as well.

The only thing we have going for us is that the teams in front of us face off with each other in the next 2 weeks.

Tampa- Baltimore, Texas, and Yankees

CLE- KC

I'll be honest with you guys. We are not going to make it due to Cleveland's schedule. They play 10 of their final 13 against HOU, CHW, and MINNY.

If we get hot we should be able to pass Baltimore and Tampa but passing Cleveland won't happen unless they choke

The Yankees must sweep Tampa and then go 6-3 in their other series, and hope that the Rangers to continue to struggle. The Rangers are going to end this losing streak, but they have to keep sputtering. Then, the Yankees and Cleveland could potentially make it.

My gut tells me it's going to be Tampa and Cleveland. Tampa because their pitching is just too strong to falter down the stretch, and Cleveland because their remaining schedule is laughable.
