So, I'm no fan of Indiana but with that university being a "blue blood" program of college basketball, one would have to think his pink slip is coming soon. Right?

Creen's gonna replace Calipari @ Kentucky when he returns to the NBA to coach the Unibrow & Boogie in the Big Easy. Time to run...:bolt:

You think? Outside of his run with D Wade to the Final Four several years ago, the guy has completely underachieved in my opinion.

I'm not saying I think he's great. But yeah, consensus is he won't be out long.

Even with his failures he brought Indiana back to prominence.

Well the decision to forgo a home game because the students were on spring break and instead go to GT and get waxed by double digits was probably an error..... lol. Who the fuck turns down a home game just because the students are on break?? That is literally the dumbest shit I've heard in some time

Crean is already looking for a soft landing spot, like Missouri. The writing is on the wall for him, the fanbase is fed up for two reasons, he's not winning with consistency, and he isn't recruiting enough players from Indiana.

That being said, the Indiana AD seems to really like Crean and is obviously hesitant in firing him. I think Crean leaves on his own in a mutual decision.

That was the story they told you. The real reason was to hide how angry the Indiana fan base is with Crean. Fred Glass didn't want all those empty seats and boo birds on national TV.

Winner of 40% of the last five BIG regular seasons.

I mean, if that's your standard for winning then, yeah... great job Coach Crean I guess.

Instead he thought it'd be better to get beat by a crap GT team? Logical. I'd rather play in front of no one at home than play on the road. Maybe that's just me though

Yeah, it is just you. It's Indiana and it's the NIT. Those two should never be used in the same sentence, ever. Winning the NIT, or a game in the NIT, means nothing. Take the loss, get rid of Crean, move on.

One of two things are at play here. Either A: Indiana and their fan base need to temper their expectations because Crean has clearly underachieved at IU thus far or B: Indiana is no longer what it used to be because some think Crean has done a good job.

If IU is considered to be blue blood status, how is exceptable to not have at least made the E8 in Crean's 9 year tenure? And really to only be put in position to make it once?
