unless Byram is available, there's not another D that should be within the top 10

That is the name. The last rumor I heard on 2 weeks ago was us trading with Chicago for #3. From a buddy of mine.

I want Boldy for 2 reasons

1) Might be my Autism but I like breaking things down.

If you take a look at our lines in the Future. We have C taken care of ( Petterson and Horvat), RW( Boser and Lind), Defense is a Issue but I see a first pair( Woo and Hughes). There is no LW.

2) I think with his shot, he'd give Petty a Sniper outlet and have Boser bullrush the net for rebounds or Tips.

In regards to scouting, do teams follow the careers of players they don't draft? Like if I'm a scout and swear up and down we need to take this player and we wind up passing, do they monitor that guy to evaluate me?

If that guy is a stud do I get more say next time? If he's absolute trash do I lose my gig?

Excited for tomorrow night because Benning is on the draft floor.

Worried about tomorrow night because Benning is on the draft floor.

Just using the canucks as an example, when they drafted jake virtanen, euro scout thomas gradin wanted william nylander. Fast foreward a coiple years and they decide to draft thomas gradins guy, elias pettersson :noidea:

Perhaps missing on a guy and that guy putting up numbers puts the scouts (who wanted him) opinion in a higher regard down the road :noidea:

also Gradin was the one who insisted to Burke that it was worth shaking things up to get the Sedins together.
a lot of teams didn't even send scouts to the world championships back then.

I don't think the Canucks will trafe trade the 10 pick. I hope not

Top ten picks getting moved at or around the draft almost never happens so I wouldn't be too worried about it.

I think the last time it did happen was when the Canucks got Horvat and it was probably Burke trading up to get Luke Schenn before that so twice in ten years.

Then again, Benning.

Where are all the trades? This sucks so far. Dammit Benning, did you forget to charge your phone? It's not like this is a stacked draft class and there are no sure fire picks after the first two.

There will be a lockout after this season so go big or go home. Hopefully it will get rid of the hard cap once and for all.
