I would volunteer and I think I would do a good job 90% of the time. But I am too immature and I'd sometimes would mess with peoples post if they hugged me.

Edit : auto correct changed a b to an h in hugged but in this case I think it made it a better post so I kept it

Being a MOD is not a popularity contest (as it shouldn't be) but it's not always the fun and games that some apparently think it is.

Ain't that the truth. I used to moderate the sports section at LivingWithStyle during the 2006-07 season when Buffalo started the season 10-0-0. Those guys lacked the logic and reason of a SportsHoopla poster, and I was constantly having to diffuse 82-0-0 threads.

It's like being the Brendan Shanahan or Colin Campbell; there's no winning, no matter how you rule.

Oppps, I messed that up. I think mods should be able to post and have friends as well. Even us bad mods have friends.

I am not going to like openly campaign for it. It is a job, a lot of work and not a ton of fun, but I do it for other boards on here and am equally dismissed across the board, so i am willing to do it, and do it fairly and well.

IMO I think it would make more sense to have a hockey board regular as a candidate for an NHL forum mod.

To me it doesn't matter what team board they frequent,as most of us hockey fans check out all threads under NHL forums anyway.

(fyi-u.s open threads should be under golf-not nhl forums)
