Wrong.

Some people wanted hiim gone, some did not want him gone, and some were unsure or indifferent.

No one on this board wanted anything else but Duckfoot to be gone , until he was
My quote said we have alot more problems on this team than Hoppy. We have struggled with kickers over the years and Hopkins was actually a good find. Before we go cutting the kicker, lets start with cutting the safety who sucks and is over paid or, cutting a few linebackers who served no purpose or a DC who refuses to adjust to his personnel or a HC who cannot seem to find waldo (QB).

Duckfoot will be fine in SD because he is playing for a very good football team with a young innovative HC leading them. We are rolling with a 1964 GE washing machine as HC. Carolina basically ushered him out due to his resistance of "getting with the times", concerning everything football to include analytics. Seems they were right.

Accept a king's ransom for who?

Hypothetically, a team giving up lots of draft capital for our 1st round pick.
Personally, I'm not convinced any QB in this draft is a must have at the position we ended up getting in the 1st. I'd love more draft picks for 22 and possibly 23

And when you complain about poor qb play and can’t bring in a decent FA QB you will be cool with that ?

I bet most posters here will not be because the minute our qb throws an errant pass in an OTA , minicamp , TC. Or Preseason game they will be up on arms

In all fairness @skinz2winz it would have been a 26m cap hit to cut Collins. That is literally the definition of cutting your nose off to spite your face. I will give you props for calling out the move to cut Hopkins as a cheap scapegoat move to shake up the locker room. Paraphrasing, but I believe that was your point.

Like this weekend hitting the game winner for the Chargers! :noidea:
It was a 29 yd FG. A strong leg isn't quite the necessity on that as opposed to a 50+ yd FG. And if there's a team that has had as many or more kicking issues than the Skins. Its the Chargers.
No doubt there's a huge QB hole in Washington. There was someone here who against the "hopefulness" of the journeyman Fitzpatrick, the "feel good" story surrounding Heinicke, and whatever they saw in Allen, insisted that this team was lacking a starting level QB.So, There are no surprises when backup types, put into starting roles, show why they are secondary players.

Another point that this same poster insisted on was Washington's penchant for building down. Specifically, stating that the organization must go after a WR who makes TMac WR2 instead of holding him out as WR1 then getting a similar or lesser player to fill the WR2 role. Upgrade, upgrade, upgrade.
While I'm not a big fan of body catchers. Terry Mac is easily the best WR the Skins have had since at least Santana Moss and probably since Henry Ellard, The Skins would away ahead of where they've been in a long time far as the wide out game if they got another Terry Mac. But getting a better WR than Terry Mac would be cool to.

I honestly dislike using the example set by Dallas because there are others like the Chargers etc doing the same things that I speak about. Dallas is being used as my example because Washington had real interest in Amari Cooper with the idea towards making him one of the higher paid WR's in the game and obviously their number one pass catcher. Having retained him, what did the Goat-ropers do? Draft Cee Dee Lamb, who as we speak, has staked his claim as their WR1.

He is having success and ironically the issues remain at kicker with the blewit signing. If I recall this was meant to send a message wasn't it? Seemed someone had to be the scapegoat for a dismal start and no real answers. Likewise, we didn't have near these problems with Sunberg Way and Hopkins. Another questionable personnel move. 2 losing seasons with Ron's way and still working on evading Snyder negative news always on the organization understandably difficult, seems to be in total rebuild mode heading into year 3.
Like the organization, this staff/team seem to have no identity at the moment and perhaps the lack of a starting QB is at the center of our identity-less issues. Cannot seem to pit my finger on it but this team has severely under performed so far and expecting different results after the bye would be, well you know.

Not true.

Very few people on here would be up in arms the minute a qb throws an errant pass, especially in an OTA, minicamp, or training camp.

You tend to make sweeping generalizations that only fit whatever narrative you have inside your own head, but not reality.

Not true in the slightest.

During some years, some of the posters have had emotions that range from indifference to "being up in arms" over any number of errant throws from qbs from one to an unlimited amount.

You make sweeping generalizations that fit the narrative that you have in your own head.

Your experinece is just that - YOUR experience.

It's not fact, or law or truth.

The facts are as I stated, not you.

I don't necessarily disagree with what you're saying, but the only message that should be taken from cutting a FG kicker imo is he was a shitty kicker. And Hopkins was a shitty kicker. If he was made to be an example then what a terrible fucking example RR picked and talk about a backfire. They go and sign a dude who couldn't kick a ball above the LOS. 2 blk kicks in 3 att WTF? At the same time, this is Skins were talking about.

Its as if you could set a clock to the various ways they find to fuck some shit. Far as the under performing goes. I can't put my finger on it either, at least not completely, but I do think there are some reasons, reasons we've seen over n over from different coaching staffs and that trips me the fuck out as well.

You don’t have a pretty good perspective. You have YOUR prospective. It’s not good or bad. It‘s just…yours.

I have been here longer than you have, to be perfectly honest.

MY perspective is just mine. I see your perspective as being myopic and limited. I’m not alone in that conclusion.
