The NFL has a confidentiality agreement with its players forbidding them from releasing any specifics about the test on which they were positive. Look at Lance Armstrong and Alex Rodriguez. They were pathological liars until they were caught. That's the rule not the exception.

Robert Mathis just so happened to be taking something for "fertility" and didn't check with the NFL even though he's been in the league 11 years? He just forgot?

If it walks like bull shit, quacks like bull shit and looks like bull shit it's almost certainly bull shit. That's the saying right?

And by the way, if he's being suspended that means this isn't the first time he's tested positive! All the first offense does is make the NFL test you more frequently. Everyone who's had a positive test is completely full of crap. That includes Josh Gordon, Richard Sherman and the other 5 Seahawks who tested positive. They're cheaters.

Trying to remember Brian Cushing's excuse. Overexertion in his workout?

Now, there was one guy, long been dead now, who had a legit excuse. Anyone remember Andre the Giant? His body actually produced a form of HGH on its own. Of course, he was definitely the exception and not the rule.

The funny thing with Mathis is he was 32 year old that lead the league with 19.5 sacks and we're supposed to believe that when he was busted for being on the juice that it was something for fertility?

But I don't blame him for denying it. He doesn't gain anything for admitting it and the NFL with it's policy of not revealing details is actually encouraging players to deny it.

In fact I firmly believe the NFL wants players to deny it since the league doesn't want to wind up like baseball and be know to have teams full of PED users.

If they test positive for weed then they violate the substance abuse policy and will say so. If they test positive for performance-enhancing drugs then it could be HGH, aderall, or any other banned substance. And if I remember correctly, if you test positive for weed then they'll test you more regularly. But your first positive performance-enhancing piss test will get you a 4 game suspension.

My understanding is that suspensions come from a PED violation or a substance abuse violation.
Name the 5 Seahawks who were suspended for PED violations.

Since 2010, the NFL suspended Seattle's Irvin, Brandon Browner, Winston Guy, Allen Barbre and John Moffitt for PED usage under its policy on anabolic steroids and related substances. That doesn't include Sherman who got off on a technicality.

Fair enough BT but I will add...
From 2010-2013, just from a simple search of news articles dealing with PED suspensions, the Redskins have 7 suspensions (including Tanard Jackson's lifetime suspension), Cedric Griffin, Jordan Black, Rob Jackson, Tanard Jackson, Fred Davis, Trent Williams, and Phillip Buchanan.

With that in mind, I wonder why sick singled out the Seahawks. After Irvin tested positive, Kam called a team meeting on this issue and we haven't had a problem since.:hope:

Barbre was tested before he became a Seahawk and was cut once that failure was announced. Moffit had his own Dr.s prescription for Adderall but like a dumbass failed to get it approved by the NFL. Both guilty.
Irvin, Browner, and Guy...guilty as charged. Out of those 5, only Irvin is still on the team.

Sherm's was beat on a contaminated sample, but since most non Seahawk fans hate him, he is labeled guilty.

Sour grapes. So a 300 lber went from an oversized freak to undersized at the LOS in about 20 years? Every team is juiced to the gills and pointing out one team that you don't like is ridiculous. I bet 70% of the league is on something and the owners couldn't care less. The only reason they're doing something is that they're afraid congress might get involved after the MLB scandal. I wish these guys were clean so we could honestly see who the best athletes are. But that went out the window like 50 years ago and this is what fans have to deal with.

So any of this was news to you? How is anything of this threadworthy? I mean everyone knows the policy. It's be talked about endlessly. Anyone who isn't a total fucking noob knows whatever the players say they got busted for is just their word and doesn't mean anything.

I guess you felt the need to make this because you are tired of all the negative off season attention to the Santa Clara 9'ers? So much so that you now had to dig up old news to try and troll the board?

SC 49'ers might have a new home, but it's the same old fans. :laugh3:

LOL that 9ers just can't let the Sherman thing go!

Maybe you should worry more about your own team and their laundry list of recent transgressions instead of focusing on a bunch of Seahawks who no longer even play on the team! Sherman will be back to owning Kaep soon enough.

@OP, the players who are caught using in drug tests in the NFL are the ones too stupid to use HGH*, unless they actually were using non PED drugs. Despite HGH being technically illegal until it is truly tested for it will run rampant in the NFL.

I would be surprised if an NFL player was NOT using HGH. Human bodies are not meant to run 4.8 40s at 290 pounds.

Now, there was one guy, long been dead now, who had a legit excuse. Anyone remember Andre the Giant? His body actually produced a form of HGH on its own. Of course, he was definitely the exception and not the rule.

I read about him often in my studies of PEDs, namely HGH. The disease is Acromegaly.

*Not only is HGH the better decision when choosing between that and steroids it is currently not really illegal. NFL players popped for Steroids or even Adderall are simply not making smart choices when taking PEDs. HGH is steroids with better up sides and fewer side effects and currently grey area legal.

I knew you'd show up eventually. Weren't you the guy that thought a mishandling of a positive test meant your boy Sherman was innocent? LOL

Yesterday's news. Seahawks fans couldn't care less. I found it funny that 49ers fans thought this would get Seahawks fans wound up. Seriously you want to start talking shit lets start with one of your best players having a court date to deal with shooting off a weapon to break up his party, driving to work black out drunk and driving into a tree and having pot in his vehicle. Let's talk about a player who does a hit and run, then threatens eye witnesses with brace knuckles. I could go on if you like.

There are millions at stake with these suspensions.

They are simply doing what their agents/lawyers tell them to do. And Law 101 states, especially in the situation of substance or PED abuse suspensions: NEVER ADMIT GUILT!!!

You either stay 100% quiet or you deny, deny, deny no matter how many times you get popped. You never admit guilt.

Simmer down there, Harold. Those of you guys that aren't upset about the thread haven't responded to it. It's the offseason, we need something to talk about.
