that's part of the psychological game with sports. you have to be mentally strong to the point that this kind of shit doesn't matter.

"I f*'d your mom last night, so I'm your daddy, who's your daddy?" is all you gotta say to some people to get them to foul you. say something crude and nasty about their daughters and they go nuts and try to kill you, and you get 15 yards.

if your weakness is mental, they will attack your mind.

it's no longer a game when it's pro, sportsmanship is by regulation, it's an economic war.

Problem is, Burfict is a dirty player and has injured players in the past. His day is coming and someone is going to take him out. When they do, I hope it's as ugly as some of the shit he's done. Mr. Tough Guy got knocked flat on his ass after he stomped on Lagarrett Blount this past Sunday. Blount jumped up, two handed him square in the chest and knocked him back flat on his ass about five feet. I re-watched it about five or six times yesterday. They replayed his stomp from about a dozen angles but never replayed Blount whacking him.

Yeah they did...but don't forget NE...man leaves a trail of crying where ever he plays...he's a baaaad man!

The New England players took issue on the field..... And were flagged for it. But they didn't cry in the media. When given an opportunity to call Burfict out, Brady basically passed and said it's football. Same for Gronk and same for Blount. Some of the Steelers just have a little too much sand in the vag.

Good effort from the Steelers yesterday though..... I was starting to think they were going to pull the upset. I think New England is heads and shoulders above the rest of the AFC right now, but we'll see how things shake out in December/January.

Cincygrad...if you want to take that angle, you're entitled to support your own, but there is no defense for Burfict...helluva player, but clearly an over the edge player. The Steeler players may whine about him, but imo that's a DIV thing.

The effort yesterday was not good enough obviously...Steelers played a sloppy game imo...too sloppy for a back up QB to overcome, and he made his own mistakes, but a TD taken off the board, numerous penalties.

Yes, NE is the class of the AFC right now and the AFC champ is likely going to come thru NE.

I don't disagree that Burfict's shit is getting old. I blame Marvin as much as anyone else.... He's an enabler.

I just find it funny that it's the Steelers players complaining. The Steelers have had tons of those over the edge players in their modern history. It's part of their legacy.

The Steelers have been vocal about Burfict, no denying that, but if they were the only team to say he's dirty, etc...I could grasp your point a little better.

I'm sure every team has had few. Who are the "tons"? I'll give you Harrison lots of fines but never suspended that I recall.

Fuck the Steelers. I'm so tired of hearing about these clowns. I thought the media was gonna hold a candle light vigil for Ben's injury.

Bunch of whiny, pampered ass panty wastes. This is the same organization that employed James Harrison, Hines Ward, Joey Porter...get the fuck outta here.

Same goes for their fans.

Everyone talks about Marvin being a underachiever and an enabler.... when do we start saying the same for Mike "trip city" Tomlin?

Ward was the dirtiest offensive player of our time...... Porter was dirty as well..... Obviously Harrison. Mike Mitchell is a dirty player.

Hard to talk about the 70s.... Steelers had a bunch of dudes on steroids, but a lot of the 'physical' hitting they did was still legal.

Okay, I thought you were going to give Kemoeatu, or Willie Colon...those were on the edge players that went over the line sometimes.

Ward...hard nosed player...yes you better keep your head on a swivel, but his play was within the rule book. He lives here now and was asked about his play during an interview and I'm paraphrasing, but he said it was okay for DEF to lay hard hits, I expected and absorbed my share, so when I had opportunities to do the same thing I took them.

Mitchell...he runs his mouth, hard hitter, but dirty? Clark laid a whole lot more people out.

Porter...hard nosed, hard hitter, but a yapper, ran his mouth a lot, on the edge, but I don't remember him stomping on people, diving at the back of players legs from behind...I don't recall that from him.

Harrison was a brute in his prime, he laid people out when he could and at a time when the NFL was trying to lower target area he had some hits above the shoulder that I would say were dirty, certainly meant to intimidate.

We're not going to agree on "ton", and not on the ones you listed except Harrison, but I concede PIT has had players that were on the edge and crossed it.

What I find funny about the steroid days of the 70s, people want to make it seem like PIT players were the only ones roiding...but when you win like they did...more comes to light I guess. Back in the late 90s into the early 00s, I used to play in a Charity golf tourney that Art Shell ran here and got to me a lot of the older NFL players from the 70s and 80s...they say players from most every era were on something.

I'm not just going by fan opinion..... When Ward played, he was consistently rated as dirty by his peers. Those silly surveys sometimes conducted by SI or other media outlets. Porter was listed on those as well. Obviously Harrison has lived on that list.

And Ward was a bitch..... Head on a swivel my ass. He looked good knocking out guys that weren't looking.

Steeler players like Burfict? Um, try zero. We've had zero players that dirty. We've had some who pushed the bounds within the rules. If that's what Burfict did I would hate him in a rival-way. That isn't what Burfict does and that's why I hate him as a human being.

Burfict is a piece of shit punk ass coward who tries to hurt people outside of the rules because his shit coach, shit city, shit fans, and shit commissioner enable him to do so.

I hope your next shit is square. Fuckers.

Sure, your guys are all clean. Nobody has ever called them cheap.

And your all-time favorite college coach didn't enable a predator to touch little boys for three decades.

Just keep that head in the sand Bridgeburner.

Burfict will end up playing for the Steelers eventually. we're not going to resign him cuz he's crazy, but he'll get away with a bit more while he's there, and the fans there will deny it when he does, just as they have been doing for years with other players.

You really like to invent arguments based on assumptions that fit your narrative.
