Man I love our Depth. Cavs are thin this year. lost a lot on the bench. Jefferson was a bad pick up. I thought he was washed up.

Thin lol. They have Shump and Kyrie who are both starters. You understimate their depth. They have more depth than last year. They got rid of Marion, Haywood, and Perk. All of them did nothing and they replaced them with guys who can play.

I see the Cav offense is still running the iso & spread a majority of the time. You would think they would have evolved a little coming into this season.

Why should they be worried...they shit on all the east teams last year and irving and love didn't even play

They weren't even .500 20 games through and still got the 2nd seed

I'm sure they aren't worried at all. Let's hope so.
Difference is Heat team got complacent after they actually won something.

Cavs have to deal with a James that now has a ton more miles logged, plus obvious back issues.
How severe are they?
Time will tell.

Both teams are jokes....the east is just as bad as ever....the hawks won 60 games last year and got curb stomped by us

Down 6 playing like shit and shooting 32%. Not so bad. Especially when they got 18 from Mir and Mcdermott haha

Worrying about opening night, regular season results?
First games that ever really mattered for Heat Big 3 era occurred in May.

True, james is pretty durable as a player goes tho

Heat have to worry about wade, he will be key especially with his health

Without James, as bad as you claim the East is, Cavs prob don't finish top 6.

Really liked how Mo Williams and LeBron played off eachother- the easiest buckets of the half were when Williams and James were playing off eachother, on the break or in the pick and roll.

I thought Love got hacked a few times and they swallowed the whistles- but its been a pretty physical game I guess. Thompson looks really rusty. I would have liked to have seen a little more of Varejao.

Mirotic is such a streak player...he hits that deep 3 against Love and really gets going....it can just as easily got the second way.

Noah looked really good coming off the bench. I think thats a really good call. Mozgov has swarmed Gasol and snuffed out his opportunities.

The Cavs offense gets really predictable when it just throws it to Love in the post. I think that can work- but its not easy against a team like Chicago who plays very above average defense and has a very deep frontline. Id like to see Love on the perimeter more against the Bulls- but it just seems like Blatt is hellbent on having him in the post this season a lot more.

So glad the Cavs upgraded from Marion to RJeff....Marion was so effen washed up it was ridiculous- Jefferson isnt going to be one of the better guys out there- but he can at least run the floor, finish, and hit the 3....Marion was just so bad.

I disagree. I think the Bulls are pretty easily the 2nd best in the East. You gotta play defense and have a guy that can cover LeBron if you have any chance against the Cavs and the Bulls have that. The Heat definitly dont have that- and the Bucks are a couple years away from really competing at the highest levels of the conference.

Who'se talking Heat?
No way to get a true read on them until after maybe a 1/3 of the season, and reality is, if they don't start off with a very good record they are pretty much dead because they have a brutal Jan/Feb schedule.

IDK the year before james showed up they won 33...they added love and a bunch of players....40 wins gets you around the top 6 in the east at least

That stat they keep repeating- that like the last 35 games Kyrie/Love/LEBron played together they won 32 of the games.....Thats really what it comes down to...

If you have those 3 guys you have enough as long as you have some decent role players- and the Cavs have plenty of those- Mozgov, Thompson, Shumpert, Mo, JR, Varejao, Delly...

it just comes down to health. IF the Cavs are healthy- they win it. - if they arent healthy- its gonna be tough- they come overcome some injuries in all likelihood- but you just cant overcome what it was last year.

I've grown numb to the losing, which I thought I'd never say.
I have no issue with Butch the coach, but the way he left here to go to the Browns was strictly a bitch move.
I know he admits it was a mistake, but he still plotted and planned it.
I personally hope they go in a different direction, but stay inside the glory days of the program when picking their next coach.
