Speaking of Indiana, there was that one dude on here - Bulls fan from Terre Haute, that not long ago claimed I’m only a Nuggets fan because the Pacers suck… That guy seems awful quiet these days. He used to call himself an “educated republican”. Newsflash: There is no such thing here in the 2020’s…

To fans of other teams: Fuck your petty title counts and fuck your superteams… The Pacers are one of the best organizations in basketball and we run our program with class and respect.

Everyone and their mother (you know who you are) over the course of the last decade said that tanking for Joel Embiid was the key to championship-level success, since he allowed for more shameless tanking by sitting out two full season after being drafted…

Reality: The Pacers are going to the finals, and Embiid now in his 30’s has never made a conference finals and likely never will. The fact is that the inside of Embiid’s head is truly and entirely made of air… We all know this, even if some don’t want to admit it.

There was also once a time when everyone and their mother (again, you know who you are) that said the Pacers had no chance of competing for anything of significant without Paul George…

Reality: George is the biggest, passive aggressive, shameless sellout pussy the sport of basketball has ever seen… OK, so unlike Embiid he has made one conference finals since he left, lucking out to a pair of wins there in the process. But, there was not any point in Mr. George’s career where one thought he had a legitimate chance of making the finals…

The Pacers are here, though.

I praised the 6ers rebuild up until the part where the league stepped in and ruined it. They had the assets in place to build a dynasty and totally messed it up.

Congratulations to your Pacers. They totally earner the right to be here. They were the clearly better team in all the series they were in. They have built a team that can compete with almost anyone. I'm wishing them luck in the Finals to make it interesting.

I'm worried that they have finally come up against a team that they don't match up well against in the Thunder though. However, I thought that against the Cavaliers as well.

I know that you just have to do you, but it would be nice for once if you could simply be pumped about your team and build them up without trying to drag other teams in just because you hate them and other posters that you have had differences with into the thread.
