After a disappointing showing in St. Louis, the Bucs have a chance to salvage the road trip with a strong series in Cincinnati. Locke and Latos are facing off right now, and thanks to a couple Bucco dingers (Pedro's was monstrous), the Bucs have a 4-1 lead.

There's run number five. Martin's having himself a nice year at the plate.

No doubles D lead to a crap pop fly single, and the game is tied.

Hurdle waits to lift a guy, who although was definitely the pitcher to use, is having a horrid night until after he gives up the lead completely. Crikey man. Even the outs were hard hit!

Watson has had an incredible year, and is an All-Star...but just can't understand leaving him in after 2 hard outs and four straight hits.

I don't know why managers insist on only having the pitching they start the inning with warm.

Is it really that taxing on guys to throw enough to be warm in case something goes wrong.

Or why Hurdle is against using his closer in any situation that doesn't involve a save. Or heck, a four out save. Once the game was tied, there was zero reason to leave Watson in. ZERO.

Also, I understand that he was having a rough night & struggling tonight.

BUT, Gregory Polanco has more talent in his little finger then Matt Hague has in his whole body!

How The Hell do you pinch hit for Polanco in the 9th!

Terrible move in my mind!

When you consider yourself a contender, you cannot lose some of these games that they have lost on this road trip!

Unacceptable!

not sure why when hughes seemed easily pitching well, getting out of trouble, let him go into the 8th and you have watson on the wings.
staying with a hot pitcher who has a rhythm is so much better than rolling the dice with the next one regardless of the next ones pedigree.

unless he is showing signs of wear, let him go into the next inning, we might save on appearances by just letting the pitcher go more than the end of the inning they were in. I hate when hurdle does this, even when it works out and watson pitches his smooth 8th, it is an unnecessary appearance if hughes can continue from his 2 batter 7th. get the more out of them when they are in and they won't appear so many times and get tired out.

cutch again left another runner on 3rd with less than 2 outs.
not sure why he is so below league average.
would like to see the average for the 3 hole hitter.

pretty complete player, but amazing how many times that haunts a team.
