There is only one job that Bo would have ever considered leaving for, and that would have been Ohio State. There's a guy named Urban heading there as you all know...........and Bo wouldn't have ever had the resume for that job in the first place.

And if you think Nebraska is ever going to fire a coach who has 9-10 win seasons after what happened with Pederson and Solich..........you're crazy.

Coach Bo Pelini is our coach for years......decades........

Let's just hope he continues to learn/grow as a head coach. I think he will. But I'm still pissed at him for letting his team piss this season down their leg

The Bo has one more year thread I started was more just irrational rage immediately following the loss. The wound was open and bleeding profusely when that thread began. I don't plan on picking at the scab now. I agree Bo is our guy for the foreseeable future.

i don't often disagree with you, but i will on this point. carl is an awesome defensive mind. bo knows defense, but carl is the one that puts it on the field. when we have had problems on D this year, it hasn't been an issue with our scheme, it is the fact that we have players like andrew green (who played an awesome game today, by the way) and blatchford that completely blow coverages. in addition, our linebackers are not great, with the exception of david. if we can develop the personnel that we have into solid D1 football players, our defense will be stout. we have been good in a few games even without the talent and experience. i think we forget that players like green and evans still have 2 years left with the program. i can't tell you how good it feels to see carl dial up one of his awesome 3rd down blitzes and watch the offense crumble. i am more than willing to give him a shot to continue what he is doing especially as we get more and more talent on the field.

I agree that our problems on defense is a talent issue. We lose Suh and Dillard and we start to have problems against the run. We lose Prince and the other DBs and we become vulnerable to the pass. We lose our 4 best defensive players to graduation. The only thing that is changing is the personnel. Now it's time for the "genius" of Bo to come out come out wherever you are.
Bo had the luxury of having great defensive players to work with when he came here in 2003, joined Oklahoma and LSU's staff and came back here in 2008. Perhaps Bo isn't a great evaluator and developer of talent. Perhaps his attributes are better served long term in the NFL. The only thing Bo has proven he can be is a quick fix stop gap short term success guy. Fact is around here success is measured in Championship level play.

One more thing. If Ohio State ends up signing Meyer, good for them. He'll be walking into the conference head and shoulders above every coach. He won't be at Ohio State forever. 5, maybe 10 years at the most. Someone will have to replace him. Bo will be on the short list. (if he doesn't quit because he feels he's being picked on)

Thought maybe that was where you were coming from. I'll take your word for it and leave it at that.

thank ya, sir.

We don't need to get into rumor and innuendo, but where there's this much smoke, there's gotta be fire.

i see all you guys talking about talent issues right? correct me if im wrong, but O'Hanlon was a walk on back in his senior season in '09 correct? that means he didn't even earn a scholly at UNL....that fucker had like 7 interceptions that year. i disagree with it being a talent issue....except in the case of blatchford and thorrell...those dudes suck
