You know... I know hundreds of guys and gals that served in all branches of the Military - I am yet to hear ONE of them refer to an athlete as a "WARRIOR".

There is an article from sports illustrated the week after 9/11 -very famous cover of a flag over the empty seats at a stadium (I think Fenway)

Yadda yadda, at the end there is the Steve Rushin piece about new meaning of warrior, hero, bomb, a war etc.... that last about ten minutes before the sports world used it again.
