Jimmy Haslam says homeless man convinced him to 'draft Manziel' - CBSSports.com


If this is a true story, and lets say Johnny Boy comes on to the scene and lifts the Browns into the playoffs.

I believe Jimmy Haslam needs to find this homeless guy and give him seasons tickets for the rest of his life.
I mean it's only fair to the homeless guy, here's Haslam proclaiming to a TMZ/ESPN snitch this story...

1) In what world does a rich dude hob knob with a homeless guy?
2) The homeless guy is homeless but knows enough about college football to know Manziel is a good pick.
3) Homeless dude knows what Haslam looks like so he can tell him to draft Johnny Football.

I am not a billionaire and I rarely see homeless people. Unless he is seeking them out he probably misses them.

I doubt a sports bar generally lets a homeless person chill there on a regular basis. As for reading the paper, that does not quite capture all that needs to be looked at when drafting a player. I seriously doubt Cleveland papers covered a ton of A&M games so the guy likely only saw box scores.
