Interesting....

I wonder if Seattle will do that given Kubiak (likes to involve tight ends) and Fant likely being cut due to cap.
Not at 10.8mil plus FA in 2026. I'd expect Atlanta would be looking for a descent draft pick.

Pitts also needs an above avg QB which he has not had. Maybe Penix is the guy to get him rolling.
I would say last year the Falcons had overall competent QB play, even though Cousins was a turnover machine half the time, he was still a big step up from Ridder/Heinicke. If the Falcons keep him maybe he’ll get going with Penix at QB but I don’t trust him, he’s been really underwhelming so far, really wish we had gotten Micah Parsons with that pick.

Aaron Curry comes to mind
so many over the years.

They're coddled at times in 8th grade down here. Can't imagine it's any different elsewhere.

Highest Level = Highest Pressure

I don't think some have the stomach for it.
Staying in the league only last so long, and that becomes the goal over all the stuff taught since 8th grade.

OSU's DE the skins drafted (Young), now with the saints and a fa (i think) again. His short time with SF kinda defined this to me.

Meh. Cousins fell into the abyss but yes I do think Penix/Pitts could work out nicely.

Agreed which is why only 1% make the pros and lucky if you pass the avg NFL life span of 3yrs. Takes special talent and heart.

PFFFT!!! Are you saying a BLACK MAN can't write legibly or coherently? Are you implying they are inferior to the white man!? Don't back out now Drew, we know who are you as a person! No denying it now, you'll only make it worse! Time to adopt they/them into your family lifestyle!

I mean I'll shut up on the political crap now, but this is where it was.
I'm not saying that a black man could not have written that very well thought out and eloquent trade request. I'm saying Myles Garrett could not.

Lots of talk on Washington boards about Garrett. They have the cap space and desperately need impact players, especially on defense. But picking 29th I doubt they have the assets to make this trade without forfeiting multiple 1sts and other picks. Even though the window is open they still have a lot of holes and plan to build through the draft. But I do expect a lot of FA signings out of Washington, don't expect this trade.

I can definitely understand it but hope he knows not the NBA and might not get his wish.

Not sure where he thinks he's going where he has such a good shot at a title who has the money/cap space to trade for him.
He would fit nicely with the Eagles for their 2025 first and 2026 second. Howie Roseman could fit him into the cap as well with a post trade new contract. The NFL cap is a mirage. The Browns know this. They just seem to choose the wrong players.

should have added picks and/or players they'd give up the Browns would want. IF they really got desperate to move him could see taking picks, but not a late 1st and 2nd.

Browns no doubt have not found right QB but they had the players to win 11 games with 4 QBs winning games in 2023. Has any team done that in the history of the sport?

Did he have some help? Maybe...but I could see him writing it. always thought he was a bit of a D and the shot at the GM who has been nothing but supportive of him makes me believe Myles wrote a lot of it.

I did mention earlier that I think the Browns might see next years 1sts as more attractive than this years 1sts anyways so I think they're a logical fit.

That's cool, but Garrett wanting them to make a change is not forcing him out. The guy asked out before Watson was even acquired. Hell, if he was willing to stay I would not have been shocked to see the Browns keep him as the backup.
Well Garrett had plenty of pull to dictate what happened. Haslam was quick to wave Garrett's name in front of Watson as reason to consider them.

He may not have forced him out, but it was the equivalent of a lifeguard leaving to take a piss while someone is drowning in the pool.

I don't blame Mayfield for wanting out. He saw his teammates & FO turning their backs on him.

don't disagree with any of this......and likely Garrett never got over Baker not taking Myle's side when he threw his helmet at Rudolph.

Seattle gave up a 2nd to get Williams (who was 100% snubbed of a PB let alone AP vote) and that was ALSO the Giants taking on additional money.

Garrett is about the same age (at the time of trade) - a better talent for sure, but looking for a HUGE contract. I'd imagine Garrett will get a LATE 1st AT BEST. Garrett is not getting some 2 1st round top 10 pick massive haul along with some $30M per year guaranteed contract... lmao.. not happening. I'll grade it an auto F if that happens.

I happen to agree with that. Maybe a first and another 2nd or 3rd. Perhaps a player or 2 and a 1st.

so often value of players are inflated who may be on market then they go for a lot less. If memory serves got to a point some were saying Jimmy G would go for 2 firsts when NE was trading him.

why my guess is Myles doesn't get moved anywhere.

Pretty good article and true. when the deal was made for Watson Myles was very pleased. and, yes, so were many fans.

Well that's a fucking stupid article.

Baker was traded for peanuts. Hell he was traded for peanut shells.

Garrett and Baker could have been gay lovers and Baker would have been traded the same. Cleveland was done with him.
