I have been saying all summer that EB will help the OLine by play design. Growing pains. We don't know what we don't know about Sam. He has learn to take the play that is there. He was holding the ball a long time. If he learns to process plays quickly and correctly and he can be a good QB. Time will tell.
It's called on job growing! OJGSam Howell has started TWO NFL games....TWO.
give the kid time to grow
I believe you will see a noticeable difference in Sam Howell when he catches up to this speed and the game slows down for him. I'm guessing by mid-season but believe it will be evident. He is doing very well already and has the tools (arm, mobility, smarts) to be a "guy".I have been saying all summer that EB will help the OLine by play design. Growing pains. W1 snap counts:
Barton: 100%
Davis: 62%
Mayo: 0%
Hudson: 0%
Barton isn't fully clicking yet, but he sure seems important.
Mentioned before, Howell pats the ball every time before he throws. I wish he could break that habit and speed up his motion.
Kyle Van Noy would be a upgrade over Barton4 moves the Commanders must consider after Charles Leno Jr. restructure
What moves could the Washington Commanders make after gaining more than $6 million in salary-cap space by restructuring Charles Leno Jr.'s deal?riggosrag.com
You posted this. Seems we may be looking for help at LB
