Is Fowler still banged up? If that's the case then I don't see how Latimore shouldn't get some quality snaps if the only wrs we'll have is DT and Caldwell if Sanders and Norwood can't go. That's not a real comforting thought especially if DT were to miss time going forward. I sure hope if Latimore gets some opportunities that he gives us a little security blanket. Caldwell is semi steady but strikes no fear in dbs. Need Lat to step up and step up big because it's "now" time for him if he wants a job in Denver next yr.

I don't think Fowler has been banged up at all this year. Jordan Norwood is maybe who you are thinking of. He was a full go in practice today though and is listed as probable. So really the only one in question is that of Sanders. I think the coaches could like the idea of keeping some good size on the outside which is why I think Latimer does finally get his chance to do something.

I forgot to add the Chiefs while having a Bye week are actually still a bit banged up. Tamba Hali is dealing with a knee injury and only practiced one day this week but is still listed as probable. Ben Grubbs, Jame O'Shaughnessy, and Allen Bailey are all out for this game. Ramik Wilson is considered Questionable for this one.

No. Wasn't thinking of Norwood because I've actually been watching games :) My wondering was why we haven't seen Fowler then because he's certainly looked better than Latimore when he's had his opportunities. Why not Fowler getting nod over Lat? He's big boy too and fights for the ball what I've seen. Lat can't even run his routes right. Just wondering why you think Lat would get nod over Fowler in this case.

I'm not saying he does get the nod over Latimer. What they have used lately has been more DT and Sanders on the outside while Fowler and Norwood have been on the inside. Latimer has only really played outside from what I have seen so for him to get much playing time it would take one of the outside guys needing to miss time. That is why I could see Latimer getting a few more reps in this one as they might like a little bit more size on the outside especially around the goal line.

There both basically the same size. 1 " dif in height and couple pads in weight. One has produced, the other pretty non-existent. You would think, as far as who Manning/coach would have more faith in would be the guy that's performed better to this point. Color me stupid but based on performance to date, Fowler deserves the shot before Latimore. Will be interesting to see Sun. if Sanders is out. My bet is Fowler ends up getting more attention regardless. Hopefully Lat proves me wrong. Love to see him be the guy they were hoping he'd be. With all these rookie wr's excelling at a very respectable rate, it doesn't bode well for Lat IMO. Bust might be his future.

The way - I have heard it explained - Latimer backs up Sanders at the Z WR - if Sanders loses snaps Latimer gets them.

Yea it's a little concerning that Latimer can't get on the field, considering he's a physical freak

Just wanted to stop by and say I expect a good game today. Hopefully no injuries, even though that's usually inevitable in a sport as violent as this one.
Stop by anytime, Moose. Agree on the injuries for both teams.
