I honestly do hope that Kubiak decides to stick with Brock. Yesterday was about worst case scenario. As others have said really the sack fumble is about the only turnover that I fully put on Brock. His 2 interceptions were complete blown plays by other players. His teammates really did not do a whole lot to help him out. I mean honestly the game was setting up to be a blow out if it was not for the turnovers.

He some bad breaks no doubt, and I get you point on those breaks, but I'm not giving him played well with two long completions, 2 picks, & 7 pts on the board. Not terrible. It sounds like you would've stayed with Os...I wouldn't have. At the same time Os should be given consideration to start in a couple of weeks.

Long and short...I'm with you...it's time to turn over the reins, but I wouldn't live and die with Brock while Manning is still on the roster if healthy enough to play.

Right but you are not looking at the whole picture. You are looking at the stat line. I think every one of the Broncos turnovers except 1 happened in Charger territory with the team driving doing whatever they wanted. When you look at the individual turnovers you see a different picture than the stat line. Brock's first interception went right off the hands of his receiver that would have been an easy first down. The 2nd interception was where his RT got beat badly and Brock's arm was hit making the ball go straight up in the air for an easy interception. It wasn't like he made bad decisions or actually made a bad throw. Brock was playing well honestly. He just had about as bad of luck as you can have.

This health issue with Manning is b.s. He was benched and had nothing to do with health. Every time Manning struggles like he did in the beginning of the year and the end of last year then his health excuse comes out. Sick of hearing it. The 2 picks were not on Oz at all. Manning still leads the league in interceptions and hasn't played much. Nothing to be confident about. Oz lead the team with victories over the Bengals and Patriots. Something I'm not sure Manning can do and Ive seen Manning in the playoffs for the Broncos and it has never ended well so far. I'm not sure things change but who knows?

You do sound frustrated.

FWIW...I believe you, Manning never openly complained of an injury that I heard about.... he just sucked it up and went with the script.

One of the picks was on Os imo, and wasn't just that...take those two bombs away and Brock has about 80 yds passing maybe...No question Manning was a pick 6 waiting to happen however they came to the decision to start Os...it was just cause....PM was looking real bad and I hear ya on his playoff game history...essentially you're saying lets not turn back...I'm not sure if I agree, but I certainly understand.

You might think, but actually CBS sent us this game.

I understand plenty of places got to see the game. Your comments though suggest that the stat line has a lot of influence on your comments today. The Broncos offense scored 7 points only because of turnovers. They were driving like crazy on 4 other drives in the 1st half that at worst should have been field goals. The turnovers obviously ruined any chance of that. Again to me the turnovers though other than the sack fumble I don't really put on Osweiler.

I can see that...I'm really pushing back on the Os played well comment and I think a poster was giving me stats to back up his comments. I thought he played okay...he hit two big plays.

I say he played well in he kept a pretty cool head considering all that was falling apart around him. He still went out and made some really nice throws that many of his guys just did not help him. I mean even beyond the 2 picks not really being all his fault he still had another couple of dropped passes. The team just looked out of sync which is not what you like to hear going into the playoffs. Thankfully the defense looked pretty dominant most of the game other than 1 big play that they gave up.

The funniest part was watching the CBS guys back pedal about Manning coming in for Brock Osweiler. I still dislike Phil Simms going back to a Bronco Super Bowl loss.

Os...to be clear. I thought the OFC was looking sluggish (aside from those 2 big plays) and I agree it wasn't all on Brock...the long pass the Sanders was just a hollow yardage stat because he fumbled the ball...Bebe dropped one I saw. I think Brock should be QB of the future...to close out this season though I wouldn't hesitate to bring Manning in a game like the one yesterday. Obviously, the team is going to have to learn to rally around Os when he hit those stretches where he looks like a guy with 8 career starts or whatever his total is.

Malibu brought up a good point...the rise the team (the fans is another thing altogether) got from Manning coming in was a little confusing...with such a disparity (#1 seed thru out to a WC team) riding on a win or a loss you would have thought the team would've been fired up Manning or no Manning. Part of that could have been playing a 4 win team.

Well the fans honestly makes sense. The team was stinking up the joint with all those turnovers and with Manning fans are mostly appreciative of what he has done for this team and this town. The 5 years before he got here we were 21st in win total and honestly a pretty irrelevant team in the league. Since Manning came to town we are 2nd in wins only to New England and one of the premier teams in the league so yeah we as fans for the most part are very appreciative of his time here.

For the players honestly they were playing well other than the turnovers. The defense for most of the game held San Diego to 3 points and was just flat out dominating them. Offensively you keep pointing to 2 big plays but this offense was moving the ball beyond just those 2 big plays. We were doing what we wanted on offense we just couldn't finish drives because of turnovers. We should have been up something like 28-3 going into the 2nd half.

Denver averaged 8 yards a play in the first half yesterday. That is scary good. I think Manning will play but Oz was a small part of teh problem yesterday unless Oz was not getting out of plays correctly but then again what the heck does Dennison do?

We've all seen our team or teams in general move the ball up and down the field, and have little to show for it, but the turnovers were reason it was still a game...right?

Going back and forth between the CAR/TB game and the DEN/SD, I missed some of the OFC that you spoke of. I was watching more intently in the 2nd half.

Unfortunately none of the playoff teams have the Chargers really bad D.

You would think by some of the comments that Denver was the only playoff team that struggled yesterday vs non playoff teams. Pittsburgh didn't look so hot in till 2nd half vs a team that is pking 2nd in draft. Turnovers, especially as many as Denver had, 9-10 times you lose. It's not about Oz or Manning as it is about how this team overcame 5 turnovers and still won. That right there is testament to how resilient and good this team really is. Great TEAM win. ;:)

Right the turnovers were why it was still a game but that doesn't mean that Osweiler was not playing well or that the offense wasn't playing well other than turning the ball over. Turnovers are a weird thing in they can come in bunches like we saw yesterday and we could see in the next game the Broncos don't turn the ball over once. Minus the turnovers this game is so ridiculously lopsided I actually think Manning does play but because it is a blow out.

Now as for the offense. Before Manning came in we were averaging something like 8 yards a play and 4 yards per carry running the football. I mean every drive in the 1st half had at least 1 first down before a turnover would derail it. Like I said all but 1 of those turnovers actually happened in San Diego territory so the offense was moving just fine. Clean up the turnovers and we are talking about one of the most lopsided wins of yesterday. I'm sure ball security will be a huge emphasis this week and next week. The other issue is getting the RT spot figured out. Again I still say Osweiler gives us the best chance in the playoffs. We will be going against some of the top pass rushing teams in the league so having an immobile QB back there running things just seems like a disaster waiting to happen.

Yeah Cd, I would just feel better having Oz out there vs the strong pass rushes that Denver will face. If OZ and the offense struggles then bringing Manning in is either going to work or not. I just worry if they start Manning and he starts throwing picks, they'll leave him in too long and game will be out of reach or they'll abandoned run game and Oz will get murdered anyway. At least if they start Oz,they won't hesitate to pull him like they would Peyton and game might /could still be winnable and not have to throw every down to catch up and win the thing.

Just for the record, I value game experience and ability to read a defense more than the physical skills. If I'm Kubiak and believe Peyton will stay away from the turnovers, he is a perfect compliment to a strong D. So I'd roll with PM.

On the flip side if January 17 is a blizzard or bitterly cold, I wouldn't hesitate to go with Brock. But I'll be good with whatever decision is made knowing that it's made for the Team.

I think Brock would excel with the scripted plays - and Manning with the - make it up as you approach the LOS.
