Props to Brock for his play and especially the way he handled being pulled yesterday. His comments after the game were all class. Regardless of how this pays out, I hope he is the starting QB fr the Broncos next year and for a long time.

CEH Oz is a happy person .. I think he just wants to win . I think he genuine in what he is saying ..

I believe he is still our best option to win I think Manning even said as much after the win ...

Here is the deal this is a team . they won as a team yesterday . Manning won handing off the ball .

By the way I Think manning might still be MVP in what he is now doing ...He is rather active and doing all he can to help this team ... Bless him he is a real man .

I agree. He is a great professional. I think Brock will also handle this correctly.

It's good to be a Broncos fan today with this sense of unity.

No you don't

He's awful

Not sure how you conclude that. He played well enough for his team to win five of the first eight games he ever started in the NFL, putting up pretty decent numbers along the way. Not enough evidence to conclude that he is "awful" anymore than there is to conclude that he's great. In half a season, however, he showed that he has the ability to at least be a competent NFL QB.

Nice post Springstein.

I think Brock stays the starter and Manning is there for relief in the playoffs.

Kudos to Kubiak for pulling Os...the OFC has been mostly stagnant the last few games, but the run KC has been on made this game a lot more important than it would've otherwise been...i.e. a glimpse into the type performance you might get from Os in a playoff game.

IMO...fairly easy for Os to yield to a future 1st ballot HOFer...they had all of 7 pts in a big game. Going forward, Manning actually be better out of the bullpen, but I would probably start him in the 1st playoff game...something as simple as checking to a run play opposite the blitz yesterday, pretty much won the game yesterday. idt Os is ready to do that yet.

Does Kubiak allow Oz to change anything is the better question?

Oz putting up 220 yards in a half is a pretty good playoff game. While I will not say his performance is sterling, I think he did better than you are giving him credit for. Hell, Manning was 5 of 9 for 70 yards. The team had some terrible execution and the chargers made some great plays.

Granted...but a couple of things...albeit a DIV foe, still a 4 win team they were playing....a lot of that yardage was on 2 plays wasn't it? To go with 2 picks...understanding he had some drops, etc, but I'm giving him credit for 7 pts.

The only mistake Oz made was when he missed the saftey blitz which turned into a turnover. Sanders fumble, Anderson fumble, Norwood should have caught that ball that went off his hands and then intercepted. I don't believe to much in what ifs but the Broncos should have been up 21 late in the first quarter with the game in hand. Oz played well.

The really concerning part is this team needed Manning to enter the game for this team to get pumped up in which they should already have with a Divisional foe and the 1 seed on the line with a terrible football team with numerous injuries. The Broncos like to play to the level of the competition because they have beaten numerous playoff teams this year. I'm not thrilled that there is a chance it's Manning's team again . I just hope it works out. No great teams this year in the NFL so why not the Broncos is how I look at it.

I think you better hope he is if Manning retires, etc because there isn`t a "starting Qb Tree" out there anywhere I know of. We all better pray Oz is the real deal going forward or this team is in a real tough spot.

I think the chargers were playing above their 4 wins yesterday but I see that point.

I know a good chunk of those yards came on two plays but I am not sure how much. Big plays work just as well as small ones. Went 14 on 22 attempts.

As for the interceptions, one was a tipped pass and the other was being hit while throwing, if I remember correctly. His big screw up was not finding the blitzer responsible for the sack fumble.

My qualm with the replace Os for Manning argument is the expectation that Manning will play better. Manning has no played half the season and still leads league in interceptions. His last game was an epic fail-fest. He has post-season experience over Brock and can make quicker, sometimes better decisions. My fear is we go back to the mediocre, at best, offense under Manning that had the RBs sitting on the bench.

He some bad breaks no doubt, and I get you point on those breaks, but I'm not giving him played well with two long completions, 2 picks, & 7 pts on the board. Not terrible. It sounds like you would've stayed with Os...I wouldn't have. At the same time Os should be given consideration to start in a couple of weeks.

Long and short...I'm with you...it's time to turn over the reins, but I wouldn't live and die with Brock while Manning is still on the roster if healthy enough to play.
