Solid but disappointing imo.

Shoulda been about 20 min longer. The 1 hr25 min runtime didn’t give it enough length.

Most of the deaths/action were shown in the trailer because there wasn’t much else that could even be shown.

Coulda been more build up of his powers, taking out a few randoms or something.

If there ends up being a sequel, my opinion will probably change a bit. Since they can expand then.

In all honesty, i thought it would be a common "evil monster" genre film. It suprised me how much time they spent on story and character development. It was an actual movie, old school. Not just a bunch of shitty explosions and cgi. I can see why some of the younger generation thought he should have "shown his powers" more, but look what they grew up with. Everything was force fed to them with super "gnarley" explosions and obvious dialogue that let you knew how to feel from the begining. This isnt micheal bay and transformers, its an actual story.

If they do a time jump to age him for the sequel, and he and Aquaman have goatees, you know the Terran Empire can’t be far behind.

Sadly the movie is underperforming... It's a pretty cool premise, but I don't see then highlighting many projects if this isn't at least a minor hit.
