As much as I miss the Brett Favre saga it just wouldn't be fair to see that old man die on the field. I just don't think he can take it anymore.

I almost NEVER chime into a Brett Favre subject but I kind of like bringing up next to impossible trivia questions when I can and I just thought of one. This one will never be able to be answered but I wonder how many men have played in the NFL who were literally a grandpa at any point while they were in the NFL?

This one will never be able to be answered but I wonder how many men have played in the NFL who were literally a grandpa at any point while they were in the NFL?

I would bet Georga Blanda was literally a grandpa, and the other 2 guys who played in 4 decades.

Steve Deberg maybe?
He was 44 or 45 when he was the backup QB for the Falcons in 1998. I looked briefly but couldn't really find anything on if he had kids or grandchildren. It's possible though.
