It's hard to imagine we get any contribution from Brent or Lawrence this season. By the time Brent gets in game shape the season will be over , and for Lawrence, it's hard to imagine any rookie being able to contribute after missing so much time and not even being able to practice till week 7. Sam has a pretty good chance to play

I think Lawrence has a great chance of having success rushing the passer last 1/3 of the season.
Talent will show itself....I could be wrong but I like this kid and his attitude towards the game

If Lawrence can come back and actually be healthy it could be a much need jolt if we want to make a late season push. Just need to hang in there for a bit until some reinforcements arrive.

Agree, Brent's playing for 2015 and Lawrence will get just enough playing time to get use to the NFL. Both could surprise but I'm not counting on it.

Question is, what if we are leading or in serious contention for the East. Di we upset the apple cart with Brent?

Brent and lawrence will be factors if they are allowed to rush the passer and given limited responsibility. Brent should be better in this scheme.

Really it comes down to is he better than what we have? If there's no need for him he's certainly not an automatic. It's not like Demarcus Ware in his prime coming of the IR. He's an ok player, far from being a lock though.

I don't think we can expect either guy to do too much, but I think both can contribute.

I think if he is a competent pass rusher, Lawrence will be able to contribute in the nickel defense this year, which is what we need from him any way. He won't be able to learn the whole defense, but if he just has to go in and pressure the QB he doesn't need to. Brent will be a little tougher. If he is in Football shape (I think he will already be with the team for a while before week 11, so he may be) he should be able to be a part of a rotation. The one tech is the easiest position on this defense to learn. He certainly won't be able to be a FT player, but if he can play a bunch of snaps every week that could help.

would love to see suh added. That probably won't happen. We need some nastiness. Ro McClain needs someone else to be an enforcer on the field. I miss the good old days. Haley and Jeffcoat were nasty. Let's not forget randy white. He loved too run over qbs
