I have no problem with Bree. I think he had a tough year last year but any other time I think he has played pretty well. Not sure if contract becomes an issue next year.

Nope. I'm hopeful the Skins retain him. Whatever issues one may believe he has or that he actually has. He can play.

That hands to face penalty he got was/is some bullshit and that penalty is just bullshit in general as it doesn't apply whatsoever to QBs, RBs and WR/TEs.

I hope we retain him though. I think as a whole we're finally getting to the point of having a nice secondary age-wise and skill-set-wise.

Well - everyone better start liking him for the next month or so. He will need to step up during Norman's absence or this D will be in trouble.

stagment!!!!! way of thinking
why give up on a guy we spent draft capitol to train and develop so he can take his skills and let another team reap the rewards ?

that is stupid he is young and heading into his prime and you want to weaken out depth to do what ? save a buck ?

Ummm yes he is. He is an NFL player. First rounders TBD are still collegiate players.

I won't call you a name but you do not want to re-sign an NFL caliber player because you might pass one up? You might also draft three players who aren't as good. There is no logic in your comment.

Out of all the QBs drafted over 20 years the Redskins might have drafted 3 HOF QBs but they didn't get one right until Cousins. Hell they gave away four of your prized CBs to draft Griffin.

there is know need to drop BB when that pick could be used to fill a hole like at RB or NT or LG . we have a starting CB and some very good back ups . it is foolish to weaken them by giving up to good starters to see IF we get better

You and Niles Paul...did he screw your wife? Not every player on every team contributes greatly on offense or defense. Their value come on STs, where Niles is excellent.

What a ridiculous comment about Paul (if I am reading correctly - hard to tell since the English & grammar are horrible). By keeping Paul the Redskins have possibly passed up on a lot of TEs? LOL. They have one of the best TE corps in the NFL, and their most recent pick in this area - Sprinkle - is doing pretty damn good.

Even if you do bypass someone at a given position (TE, CB, etc) it just means that you pickup talent at another position (as Skinsdad alluded to). Talent is talent is talent - who really cares where it is added (beyond the need to have a good QB). Again - the key is retaining draft picks & using them fairly wisely. This is something that the Redskins were horrible at until recently.

There is another aspect that you seem to ignore - player development. You need to maximize a players skills after you acquire him & see that he actually gets better year after year. You can't just draft a player - see if he is good enough & then kick him to the curb if he is not an all-pro after a few years. You seem to not understand that process.

Breeland appeared to have taken a step back last year but has played very well thus far. It would be moronic to get rid of him unless he gets injured, has a major dropoff for the rest of the season or has insane contract demands. Don't know about the injury part, but I doubt that the other two will occur.

Here we go again with yet another fan who thinks that they could do a better job as GM or coach then the guys who actually do this for a living. Again - perhaps a given coach or GM (on the Skins or any other team) is not perfect & another professional could do a better job. However the idea that some random fan believes that they know the situation much better & could do a better job is laughable in most cases. They have no idea about the difficulty of the job & all of the things that might it pretty damn difficult.

Waiting for Terry's take on all this but he's been eerily silent this week :noidea:. Maybe he's on the jags board explaining to them why there aren't that good

I actually agree with this......to an extent......that being, the thinking on improvement is sound , the methodology not so much.

The way I see it, you'd have to know that you've upgraded BEFORE moving on from current players. The way you have explained it, we get rid of one then draft the other, correct?

Well, the way I would do this is, draft the potential replacement AND have the current one on the roster. Best player stays, lesser player either plays a secondary role where he's the better player, or, is then traded for a player that improves a position elsewhere on the team, or for additional draft picks. It's a win-win-win all around for us.

I know that rebuilding is not strange to this team, but rebuilding correctly is and has been for a very long time. Now that the team appears to be on the right track, there's the whole trick that keeps us out of having to rebuild from scratch and I just outlined that methodology. Let's hope that, the front office won't have to hire then fire someone else to discover that too!!
