Following the "Trade 43's favorite players" kick that Murray's on, the next three, in order, will be:

Foligno
Phillips
Regin

Congrats on going to a team with real leadership, Chris. Thanks for always showing up.

God dammit so much.

LOL...The Kelly trade is weird to me. He is just about as good a third line centre as you can get.

He is relatively cheap.

He is a very smart and hardworking guy. IMO he would be one of the guys you keep to teach the young guys next year what it means to be a pro.

I wouldn't bet on Regin or Foligno going any where, but Phillips will probably go somewhere as a rental. I'd like to see him re-sign in the offseason though.

On another note, your Blue Jackets should have ponied up their 2nd rounder for Kelly. Re-unite him with Vermette. Those two guys were dynamite on the PK.

You watch too. Murray will keep Kuba and Gonchar around and ship Neil and Phillips out next.

To me it appears he's really really relying on Spezza to be the future leader of this team...

Quote from Chris Phillips:

“I do (want to stay) and I know people will call me crazy for saying that," Phillips said, "but I think you need some veteran guys that have been around to help and guide the young guys coming in. I’m okay and would take on that responsibility."

My opinion: Get this man re-upped Murray and shop Gonchar and Kuba aggressively. The Sens need leaders in a bad way now and Phillips is one of the few left.

Moreau comes back tonight and that actually creates a problem at forward. Even with Dorsett hurt, someone is odd man out. Kelly would have muddied that picture even more. Besides, they actually use Vermette as a center most of the time.

They are squarely looking for a D man with presence who can move the puck.

Like Phillips.

Although a few "sources" have said the deal for White is done. White is not the answer.

Unless the question is: who is the most turnover prone defenseman in the post-Redden NHL.
