The coaches were trying to get him on the field in any capacity, Heard is a great athlete, for whatever reason he wasn't cutting it at RB. I don't wish to see him leave, but if that's what he feels is best then I wish him all the luck in the world and I hope he excels wherever he ends up.
I like the fact we have a loaded backfield at RB but I see a similar problem in the future with trying to split carries between 5 RB's and a rushing QB, at least 4 of these guys are not going to be satisfied

Everything I've heard from real people.. (inb4 jjm posts his RSS pic) is hinting that Heard played a roll in badmouthing Nebraska to Marcus McWilson, and the coaches asking him to move positions again may have not even happened, or been a help to push him out.
