sad to see a guy who worked so hard to get here leave...ill never understand why he didnt get more carries especially when Rex was hurt. I never saw the guy gain less that 3 yards. Seemed like every time he touched it he gained 5-10 yards

Makes sense for him though. The stable of backs we have is too large......he can be successful somewhere else.

I Hate it too. Don't understand why he wasn't utilized more. I mean, I understand that the position has been stacked as of late but they sure don't like to spread the love even when there are good backs galore.

Didn't like Aaron Green's attitude nearly as much as Heard's but it is a similar situation as far as losing a talented rb due to lack if pt.

Feel bad for the kid cause he went through a lot to be a Husker. Stayed committed after sitting out a year ineligible, switched positions twice.

Doesn't help that he sees a couple of the nation's best prospects coming in, and then he has Abdullah and Cross to deal with besides them....

I also think Heard may be our best RB.....

It's hard for me to make that judgement based on the limited snaps he's seen......but for whatever reason he has been more successful than any other back on the team when he has touched the ball.

It could just be the situation that Beck is putting him in .......it seems like he isn't doing anything special besides running through the holes.

Assuming that recruiting story is true, it couldn't possibly be that that recruit is a little bitch and Heard thought Nebraska didn't need that crap.

To my knowledge Heard hasn't proved anything to me. It's a big difficult for me to believe the coaches encouraged our so called #1 RB to switch positions to D, this after not playing him in many games all year. Yeah so he look's the part and all...

It's not hard to believe he may have lent an ear to Mcwillson. However MW's and Marrow have been family friends for years also. Either way it's tough to swallow losing the next to highest rated player just weeks before signing day, at a position of butt clinching need.
