Looks like you summed it up, retro. And only 58 games left to turn it around. I still cannot figure how, after taking care to rebuild the offense with very good players, the team is only hitting an inconsistent .244, plus the poor pitching.

The only optimistic view is if the Phils play .500 in the future, they could reach 83 wins. It would only take an unusual but possible 7-game winning streak within that stretch to stay within reach of the wild card. Even if the odds are long, it could happen, even if dozens of things have to go right. I’ll drink to that!

I offered Ryu to a guy that had Nola and is playoff bound in fantasy and I got rejected. I was looking for better Philly pitchers. I have Elfin, Pivetta, Eickoff and Smyley.

This is what the Phillies do....win a game after they lose a series just to make it look like they have turned a corner except the reality is that they have turned nothing. They are on a straightaway to mediocrity. The fault lies squarely at the feet of Middleton and McFail. They have fkd up this team. Klentac and Kapler are the jackoffs THEY hired. Yea when Nola is pitching, we seem to play better. Nice win but the Nuts won so we got some ground back but I think it will be too little too late.
