Browner was re-instated by the league today.

He'd be a good option at CB, imo. Size is "in" in the secondary, and they don't come any bigger at CB than the 6'4" 225 lb Browner. Plus, his recent suspension should keep his price down, which is always a good trait in a free agent (the price, not the suspension).

He's 29, so he's got a few years left in the tank, enough to help bridge the gap while Green, Greenwood, and Slay keep developing. They're all bigger CBs, too, so I'm sure Browner could help them refine their game a bit...

Thoughts?

In a heartbeat, baby, but he'll be back with the LOB.

As someone that follows the Seahawks, No Thanks......It's not him its the Scheme that works.....Give me Seattles DC or maybe the DB coach, not the player......Rookies step in right away and do what Browner does in Seattle, that tells me it's the scheme not the player.

Maybe it's the D line. The Jags aren't very good and they run the same scheme.

Nope, not the D-line.....The Flipping Lions have the best flipping D-line in the league and the DB's look like trash.......Trust me on Seattle it isn't the D-line.....Hell Avril is stiuational player all year.......3rd and long go getem Cliff......Yet on Detroit in the wide 9 he's a everydown player.........It's the scheme.

DB or WR at 10 I'm ok with.....Pay your best positional players the most money.....Prefer DB because WR is so deep this draft......

I would be OK with WR, TE, DB, or LB. We need at least one of each. Hard to know for sure what we will be doing schematically on each side of the ball so I will trust the coaches for year 1.

He's said publicly that he's excited for free agency to start, and the Seahawks defense was clearly fine without him, so I don't think it's a slam-dunk that he returns to Seattle...

Sounds like he'll be suspended for the first 4 games of the season.

might want to pass then if that is the case. we hopefully have gotten rid of most of our problems. no sense acquiring new ones.

I'm not sure exactly what stats they used, but CBS said in an article today that Finnegan ranked as one of the worst CBs in the NFL last year.

I didn't follow the Rams or how he has done the last two years, but that is what the article said.

Finnegan is available.

The Rams signed him to a $50mil contract just two years ago. They released him with a bunch more to pay him. That's a huge red flag for me. No thanks, moving on.

I don't have contracts in front of me, but I think he can play better then Houston for cheaper......Just strictly an opinion.......I've watched alot of Titans ball before he went to the Rams, He would be an upgrade on the team in my belief.

Houston is due $22.7mil over the next 4 years. Cortland was due $29mil over the next 3 years. Add in the fact we'd have to do something with Houston's money. It isn't feasible dollar-wise IMO. Plus, if he was released 3 years early from his contract, they must have some reservations about his injuries. He did suffer an eye injury that sidelined him for much of last year. Hence, why I said no.

I was just being a smartass. (Did you notice OL's comment above mine?) But I used to really like Finnegan when he was in TN. He's a tricky, dirty, mind game playing corner, I like that kind of thing. (Getting himself and Andre Johnson BOTH tossed was brilliant.)
