Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvin is scheduled to get a second opinion on his hip injury, according to a league source.

The first doctor believed there was a slight tear in his hip, the source said, adding that both Harvin and the team wanted the second opinion.

Did Cashman tell him to STFU yet?

SMFH...Blame others:

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- San Francisco 49ers starting cornerback Tarell Brown has voided a $2 million escalator in his contract after he chose not to participate in the team's voluntary offseason program.

Brown said he didn't know about that clause in the deal and only learned of it via Twitter after practice Thursday. Brown then fired agent Brian Overstreet for the mistake.

Brown had been due to earn $2.925 million in salary for the 2013 season. The 28-year-old player, entering his contract year, worked out on his own this offseason -- something he said he routinely has done.
Had he known about the $2 million, he said, he would have done things differently.

"No one wants to leave money on the table," Brown said. "If I would have known the clauses in my contract -- that's what agents get paid to do, to orchestrate the contract and to let you know what you can and can't do as far as workouts and OTAs and things of that sort. That's what he got paid to do. He didn't do that, so in my opinion, you have to be let go. We all are held accountable for our actions. This is part of the business."

WMB for Peavy would be a catastrophe....I'd rather keep WMB and see if Workman can give them league average innings...

Royals future > your teams future

Royals fans clearly dotted the crowd of 5,257 to catch a glimpse of Zimmer, who on Saturday held Springfield scoreless over six innings in his Double-A debut. The 215-pound right-hander turned the trick again, this time allowing three singles, two of those in the infield.
Along the way, he dominated with his fastball, which sat at 96 mph and reached 99 mph, according to the Naturals radar gun, and showed a power curveball and changeup, too. He walked two.
Zimmer now has 65 strikeouts in his past 49 innings, including recent starts in the high Class A Carolina League, where on June 7 he was staring at a 6.32 earned run average.

Hi Mr. Perbole

Please. I've been here long enough to know how "The Nation" would react to this trade.
