Michigan?s Hoke Comes Through For Patient Who Beat ?Michigan? - WCMH: News, Weather, and Sports for Columbus, Ohio

Hoke, continuing on the road of one of the classiest coaches in CFB, called up the kid who named his cancer "Michigan" and offered him tickets to come see Michigan play his Buckeyes.

Monday, Hoke called Grant and his family at their Bellville, OH home with words of encouragement… and an offer. Hoke offered the family four tickets to this year's Ohio State-Michigan game.
Grant's father, Troy, said his son did not hesitate to answer the coach. "He gave a very clear yes—he's very excited." Troy said.

"There was no way we could have pulled off getting tickets otherwise." Troy said.

"It's getting hard to keep my dislike for them, because they've been so classy and unbelievable to us."

Sounds like a desperate attempt to get rid of tickets to me.

Wonder if the kid will have to sit in the Meatchicken section?

I bet not, I bet they're putting this kid in one of the suites and they're going to try and convert them away from the dark side.

I'm surprised that they had tickets at all to give out. It won't be in the OSU section likely because they give those tickets to OSU to distribute.

Give the kid some credit. He had a brain tumor. He didn't lose his mind.

Nice gesture from the Hokester, but I advise the kid not to try to cut in front of him at the buffet line.

:)

I'm sure he'd be safer there than surrounded by the convicts the Urban recruits :laugh3:

That is a cool story. Still gotta have that Ohio State-Michigan trash talk. Just wouldn't be Ohio State-Michigan without it.

All trash talk aside, top-notch class move by Hoke. Stories like this kind of give you some perspective on the gravity of sports. Thumbs up, Brady. :thumb:

Frank Clark. Felony Home Invasion. Suspended one game.

Those who live in Glass Out-Houses shouldn't throw stones.

Urban never would have suspended him for Alabama. He would have suspended him for Spring practice. And Hoke waited until the conviction - which was just a year of probation and a fine - and punished him for what he was convicted on.

I think Michigan one of the coolest Michigan games in recent history is a big deal. It's not like he missed EMU. Not to mention, he didn't travel down there with the team.

Michigan sophomore defensive end Frank Clark pleaded guilty Tuesday to one felony count of second-degree home invasion.
Clark was suspended for the first week of Michigan's practice this fall and for the season-opening 41-14 loss to Alabama. He was reinstated for last weekend's win against Air Force and recorded four tackles.

Michigan coach Brady Hoke defended his decision to reinstate Clark with the legal decision still pending, saying that the lineman has "paid a lot of consequences internally."

Hahahaahah "internally" what a joke. He runs laps for felony home invasion and stealing? Scum fans have nothing to say about UM and his discipline.

However, very nice move offering tickets to this kid.
