Great player. Another tough loss. Of course, after losing Allen, everything else kind of pales in comparison.

Still, the forced elevation of Thornton will likely pay dividends down the road. This was to be his position at some point anyway. Tough to be a rookie left guard, but he appears to have the talent to stick for a while. Barring an injury, of course. Here is hoping for a long and successful career.

I might feel a little sorrier for the Colts had they not gotten an unusually generous gift a couple of weeks ago. Bradshaw is a tough loss (as was Ballard), but it's certainly nice for Indy to have Richardson to turn to.

Speaking of Allen's injury, why so few balls Fleener's way last week? I had Allen on my fantasy team but picked up Fleener when Allen went down.
