Bullshit. I went to my first movie in 1946, obviously don't remember it, and the first one I do remember is Red River in 1948. I've seen more movies than you even know that exist.

See, the problem with you, Oscar is that you're a liar. No one listens to you because you lie. All the time.

I have that problem with Obama.

...and this senile old fool is his biggest supporter. Surprise, surprise.

"Obama has never lied. Not even once." - verbatim quote from Oscar. I shit you not.

Some of you guys might like this thread.

You're wrong about the remake of True Grit, though. The remake was more faithful to the actual novel. It's one that I make my students read every year.

I like the Wayne version just as much if not more, though.

Unforgiven isn't a real Western, though, so I agree with you on that.

I haven't watched my man with no name blurays in awhile. I think I'll do that tonight maybe.

Meanwhile 3 explosions just rocked a Hamas radio station. Time for a pizza and beer.

15 minutes ago you never heard of the most successful western of the last 40 yrs but now you're entitled to tell us whether it's "even close."

Repeat: You sir, are a senile old fool.

I looked it up. It's a 2003 Western that did so so at the box office. It is not critically acclaimed by critics and does not appear on any critics list of the great Western.

Now, to be fair, there haven't been as many westerns made in the last 40 years as in previous decades.

Django Unchained, The Unforgivin, and Dances With Wolves would rank as the best of the last 20 years. These were critically acclaimed movies and for good reason.
